While the world seems to be in love with the idea of tiny houses and minimalism, many of us simply can't purge it all and start from nothing. Yet a home with too much stuff is difficult to maintain, so where do we begin? Add in paralyzing emotional attachments and constant life challenges, and it can feel almost impossible to make real decluttering progress.

Historia
Out of nowhere, like a fresh breeze in a marketplace crowded with advice on what to believe, comes Byron Katie and what she calls "The Work". In the midst of a normal life, Katie became increasingly depressed. Then one morning, she woke up in a state of absolute joy, filled with the realization of how her own suffering had ended. The freedom of that realization has never left her, and now, in Loving What Is, you can discover the same freedom through The Work.

Blame the Victim - Rape and Incest
Revisado: 01-20-22
I absolutely loved this book and found the 4 questions and turnarounds helpful. But when she got to the part about rape and incest victims, I felt sick to my stomach and could not believe what I was hearing. She asked the victim, who at the time was an 8 year old girl being raped by her adopted father, what her "part" in the situation was. She said it's not blame, but how does a child have a part in rape? It's insane. Then she also had the victim say SHE abused him. It is outlandish and I think very harmful and dangerous. I was so disappointed because up until that part I really thought this was the best book I had ever listened to and was so helpful. While the author says she is not pointing blame at the victim, it sure seems like it. I don't recommend this as I think it causes more harm than good for anyone who has suffered a traumatic experience. Children have NO "part" in being a rape victim.

Historia
I almost didn’t publish Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. Here I was, a CEO who’d fallen apart after his company failed, writing a book about how loving himself saved him. I thought I’d be a laughingstock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. The book went viral. Amazing people all over bought copies for friends and family. For some, this book saved their lives. For others, it was the first time they ever loved themselves.

Very Helpful but Too Repetitive
Revisado: 05-14-21
I found it very helpful, but the last part is so repetitive it gets boring. It is still worth reading and I recommend it.

Amazing and life changing
Revisado: 10-23-20
It has helped me learn to live in the present moment. I am sure it will help with labor, but what surprised me is it helps with my relationships with family and my inner peace.
