Historia
An ultimatum from Summer Preston’s thesis advisor thrusts her into an unexpected collision with the hockey team’s captain, Aiden Crawford. She’s caught between conflicting desires of fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a sport psychologist and staying as far away as possible from the god-awful sport. And once she meets Aiden—well, let’s just say he confirms all her worst assumptions about hockey players.

Breakaway/ icebreaker parallels
Revisado: 07-05-24
I enjoyed this book, much like I enjoyed Icebreaker and Breakaway. Collide is like if those two had a baby. Aiden was a very likable MMC; Summer got on my nerves until about 3/4 of the way through the book. Overall, I think I would have liked the book more if I actually sat down to read it by the pool and finished it in a day. Listening took a little too long for the story, in my opinion!

Historia
As a pro-bound college athlete with a good-time reputation, I usually have my pick of puck bunnies. But lately, I’ve been in a dry spell that feels more like a curse, and the stress is affecting my game–the one thing that can’t happen if I’m going to keep building my case for a future in the NHL, starting with making team captain. Enter Penny Ryder. She’s my coach’s daughter, but the moment she pulls me into that ice rink closet and lets me have my way with her, she’s the one thing on my mind besides hockey.

Cooper & Penny are an incredible pair and tell the sweetest story! The narrators are also very good.

Historia
It’s my final season to prove myself before the MLB Draft. The last thing I need is a distraction–and especially not one as tantalizing as Mia di Angelo. She’s the drop-dead gorgeous astrophysicist-in-training who ditched me the moment I wanted to take us from casual to committed. Yeah. Ouch. But when she needs somewhere to stay for the summer… well. I offer her my place. Being roommates shouldn’t be so hard. Not distracting at all. Not the least bit challenging.

Family dynamics
Revisado: 01-10-24
Sebastian is a wonderful character and his thoughts about family and loss are incredibly moving. Mia can be irritating, stubborn, and unreasonable; however, she’s also intelligent, driven, and semi relatable. Overall, the story is a little deeper than a run of the mill sports romance. Defintely worth the read!
