Historia
College football fans have welcomed Emmy Award-winning ESPN sideline reporter Lauren Sisler into their homes weekly since 2016. But the popular journalist known for asking insightful questions and for the viral videos dancing her signature “sideline shimmy” shielded a tragic secret behind her smile for nearly two decades: her mother and father died within hours of each other, victims of their hidden battle with prescription drug addiction.

Read it in one day….
Revisado: 10-02-24
I first noticed Lauren on random Instagram posts that came up on my feed. I was intrigued and began to follow her and learn about her story. I pre-ordered the book and finished it the day it arrived in my audible mailbox. Although the story is tragic , Lauren has turned it into a ministry and has touched many lives. Continued success for you, Lauren, and I highly recommend your book.

So why is she up all night?

Very slow start and too many details. But when she brought in the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court case it became too political for me. I won't read this author again.
I was looking for entertainment, not politics.

Historia
Available as an audiobook for the first time ever, Discernment: Reading the Signs of Daily Life invites you to adopt Nouwen as your personal spiritual guide. Each session was carefully prepared by Dr. Michael Christensen, an award-winning professor of Christian ministry and practice, and Dr. Rebecca Laird, who was Nouwen’s student at Yale Divinity School. Like other volumes in The Nouwen Trilogy, this audiobook collects Nouwen’s unpublished homilies, interviews, classes, and speeches, as well as excerpts from his published writings.

Depressing
Revisado: 01-13-22
This is the most depressing book I have ever read. Read the Bible, listen to Father Mike but do not buy this book.
