Historia
It's approaching Christmas in Rome and snow is falling in a way that only happens every 20 or 30 years. The city is soon paralyzed by an unseasonably icy grip, and in the dark corners of the Pantheon a grim and mysterious story begins to unfold.

Interesting Depiction of Southerners
Revisado: 07-08-06
The plot of the book was pretty good, but the characterization of southerners was a bit hard to take. I cringed every time I heard the word “yall” used in the second person singular. Southerners usually use “you” as the second person singular and reserve “you all” or “yall” for the second person plural. We may have some colloquialisms, but we aren’t grammatically ignorant, as almost every character in this book is depicted as being. The over done accents and misused “you all” made listening to the book a challenge, even when I was interested in the plot.

Late one night, exploring her father's library, a young woman finds an ancient book and a cache of yellowing letters. It's hard to put down
Revisado: 07-27-05
It took Audible way to long to get this one, and an abridged version, oh well. I read this one and it is very hard to put down. It has a very detailed plot and suprises you with lots of twists and turns.

Historia
In the last lazy days of summer, the merciless two-week heat wave is the biggest story in Washington, D.C. But the weather is finally knocked off the front pages when a young woman is found strangled to death—a priest's white silk amice pulled taut around her throat. Pinned near the scarf is a note that simply reads her sins are forgiven her. It is a chilling crime, made even more terrifying when it is followed by a second murder... and then a third. Suddenly every headline is devoted to the killer the press has dubbed "the Priest."

Great book
Revisado: 12-11-03
I had to stay in my car at lunch to finish this one! It is very fast pace and you can't guess the ending. I have read some other Nora Roberts book and enjoyed them, but this one was a great listen.

Historia
At the core of this book is an appalling double murder committed by two Mormon Fundamentalist brothers, Ron and Dan Lafferty, who insist they received a revelation from God commanding them to kill their blameless victims. Weaving the story of the Lafferty brothers and their fanatical brethren with a clear-eyed look at Mormonism's violent past, Krakauer examines the underbelly of the most successful homegrown faith in the United States, and finds a distinctly American brand of religious extremism.

Very Thought Provoking!
Revisado: 08-06-03
I found the book to be very well rounded and though provoking. I thought Kraukaer did an excellent job of looking at how religion is used to justify violence in people who are already predisposed to follow violent means to an end. I did not think that he tried to make the point that religion causes violence. I have read many other books on violent events that were justified by religious belief and this book was well rounded and documented. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Historia
A twelfth dynasty mummified princess, in a huge sarcophagus, is about to take a long voyage from New York City to Cairo as part of a routine museum exchange. But Cleopatra is missing, and in her place is the not-so-mummified body of a much younger woman. Assistant D.A. Alex Cooper must explore the elegant Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the array of beasts and bones at the Museum of Natural History. Somewhere, deep within the bowels of one of these great cultural centers, a killer may wait.
