I tried twice to listen to this book but the narrator annoys me. The staccato delivery is distracting but the character ‘s voices are good.

While the performance is good,the story leave a lot to be desire.

The main character is a very immature 21 years old and a virgin. Trite.

The not so alien is overbearing,also trite. Frankly,I found him creepy. She burst into tears the second time he showed an interest in her, so childish a reaction that he commented on it and yet was not put off.
There was nothing romantic in that scene at least not for me. I saw an adult and a child.

The author kept her true to form... childishly reacting to situations. I lost interest.

The writing style resemble that of fairy tales book for young children. That is not a bad thing... for the right audience.

As usual the book was well written but not as edgy as some of her earlier works. I found the story disappointing.
I think the author should postpone the next publication date and take the time off to research a story taken from the headlines of 2017 and adapt it for Lt
Dallas.
Miss Robb needs her groove back.

An interesting story.

This is a good mystery,well written and well narrated. It's a good police procedural with interesting characters that you can relate to,either the parent/child dynamics or the various adult relationships.
The subject is gritty and the author tell it concisely and with empathy for the victims and the people touched by the violence.
I enjoyed this book a lot and look forward to more stories from this author.

Entertaining but predictable.

I have just re-listen to this book and I remember why I gave this a three stars for the story,and it's because it was so predictable. But it's the first book of the series so give it some slack. The characters are engaging and interesting and the story is well written.

Now I will get the second one to see how the characters are progressing in their new venture and I hope the mystery won't be so predictable.

Dina Pearlman did a very good job with the various characters, I think she has a great ear for accents and her narration was spot on. I like her.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

It's a fun ride that brings a smile to your face. Entertaining and breezy, sexy and action packed it's another thrill from Eve Langlais.
The story is brought to life by a fantastic narrator, Michael Rafkin. His description of an ice cream confection made my mouth water. He gave the characters very distinctive voices and help bring out their personalities.
Since the story is about wolf and lion expect some gore, but since the story is about people
nobody rolls in it.
The hero gets his girl but having come into her own,this woman is no longer a damsel in distress.
Truly Eve Langlais and Michael Rafkin are a great combination of talents.
So sit back and enjoy the ride.

A fun read.

Over the years I have read most of the books written by Jayne Ann Krentz,starting with the Harlequin Romances .
True the stories are formulaic but the entertainment value of a well written book is nonetheless there.
I have read some of the stories over and over again because they are a fun and easy way to get away for a while.
These books are romances not mysteries,no thinking required,they are also light on sexy scenes. Nowadays,mom can share these with their teens.
So sit back and let yourself be entertained.
