This is a great cozy mystery series with a paranormal twist. The characters are quirky and entertaining. The mysteries in each book kept me guessing and kept my attention. Mitzi inherits a family fortune after being in foster care as a child and being on her own as a young adult. With her inheritance and her move to Pin Cherry, not only has she inherited a book store and money, but family she didn't know she had including a father, a ghost of a Grandma who is a hoot, and an unusual cat named Pyewacket. Add a potential romance interest a villain and a dash of humor and you have a great series.

This is such a good series. This book also has a interesting and ever developing plot that goes from a possible Bingo cheater, to arson, to a very dangerous situation for Mitzy. Mitzy attempts to use her clairvoyant skills to help Twiggy see what is going on at the Bingo hall. The building next door to the bookstore burns to the ground and a body is found inside. It takes awhile for the body to be identified with Mitzy's help, after a dangerous fall for Mitzy. The fire points to her father and her possible romantic interest is missing . The plot thickens and once again Mitzy stumbles in deeper than she intended. Fast paced, exciting ending with a Knight on a white horse ending. Funny moments and colorful characters.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Things are really happening for Mitzi. Another murder in town? Wait two murders? New relatives? The mystery/story has several layers and is very good. Rooting for Mitzi and the sheriff and it is paying off. All the characters we have come to love are there. Pywacket even has clues for solving the mystery. Great ending. Can't wait for the next book in the series

Each book in this series is more captivating than the one before. As the characters develop and get to know each other, the mystery and the lives of the characters are more and more interesting and fun. Always a little tease into what happens next in Mitzi's life, for the next book.

Time will tell, but this book was the best in the series for me, so far. The characters have settled in and everything is just cozy. Mitzi is getting used to her life in Pin Cherry Harbor. All is well until there is a gang robbing train cars and her father's railroad is a target. True to form, Mitzi can't help but snoop, despite warnings from Sheriff Eric - her heart throb. Mitzi decides to go undercover on her own, working at a bar that is frequented by undesirables, in hopes of getting some clues into the gang. Of course she gets herself in trouble but we get to see some more of Mitzi's talents both survival skills she learned as a foster child and some things she learned from Silas to enhance her "other" skills. Pywacket has a part in this story. Really good, suspenseful story with a great ending. (wink, wink). I received a free audible copy and voluntarily provided this review.

I love this series. I love the paranormal/magical aspects - Mitzi is learning more about her abilities which sometimes get her into more trouble. I love the quirky characters - Mitzi's ghostma, Piwackett the cat (nod to the movie Bell Book and Candle), the book store, Silas,Odell's cafe and the two love interests for Mitzi - the Sheriff and Rory Bombay. So poor Mitzi stumbles on another body, gets nosy, almost gets killed herself and deals with the attention of two rivals. Who will it be? Some funny moments, tension and magical powers make this a fun listen. Colleen M does a great job with all of the different voices. I received a free copy and voluntarily provided this review.

Never a dull moment for Jamie. Just when she tries to uncomplicate her life, take a fun job with an art foundation and Kip finally has a job in the area, so they can spend more time together, everything is turned upside down. Funny laugh our loud moments and "oh no", moments. Challenges and trouble comes from all directions for Jamie. Exciting ending. If you are a fan of Jamie Quinn you will love this next installment of Jamie's life in South Florida. Our favorite characters are back too.

I loved this first book in this new series. I remembered Gabriela from the Shelby Nichols series and was hoping for more with this character. Not disappointed. Ella is a nurse that truly has "healing hands." After an issue with a patient in New York, Ella is sent on a "new assignment" to a different location, take a break, assess her life. When she runs into Aidan Creed, literally, Ella is compelled to help him. As the story goes along, Ella wonders if getting mixed up with Creed was a good idea. They have some near misses with Creed's past. Good crossover with Shelby and Ramos from The Shelby Nichols books. How Ella grew up and why she seems to have this gift are questions we and Ella want to find out. Great start to an interesting and different new series. On to book 3! Such a good story - continuation of Atlee searching for answers to her sisters disappearance but gets involved in a local mystery in her hometown. Very fast paced, psychological thriller which leads us to the next book. Can't help but quickly get to book 3.

I am a big fan of the China Bayles series and Darling Dahlias. This book in the spin off of the China Bayles series is great. The tension builds as Ruby tries to find Allison using her "gift". Although Ruby doesn't consider herself psychic, this dream about a young woman being abducted won't let her alone. But can she convince the police that Allison did not disappear of her own accord. The suspense builds as Ruby becomes more determined and more pictures play out in her mind. If you are from Central Texas, you will enjoy the references to familiar places.
