Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Powerful and Real
Revisado: 04-30-22
I highly enjoyed and recommend this book. to hear her tell her story was gripping. She is an amazing woman and actress who truly rose from the ashes. it's some very rough parts to hear but it's real and relatable I'm sure for many. Brave Viola!!

Historia
In 1990, two college students, who lived together in an apartment, suddenly stopped communicating with their friends and families. After a few days of silence, the police were called to do a welfare check on them. When the police knocked on the girl's door, no one opened it, so they got a key from the building manager and opened the door themselves. As soon as they were inside, they called out for the girls, but they didn't call back. The police walked forward into the living room, and at first everything looked normal, but then they noticed something horrible on the couch...The audio from ...

Mr. Ballen has a gift for story telling. He makes you feel like he was a part of whatever he's talking about. I used to catch myself in the beginning of finding him like...wait, was he there 👀 lbvs. I can honestly say I look forward to each and every story. I even make sure I'm fully free to listen so I'm engaged and not half listening at any time. Mr. Ballen, I'm all ears!!

What an upset, like I actually am upset...

I have waited a long time for this sequel...and was very excited to get it. But right from the beginning it was off. the storyline is so far fetched that at some points you're like...wait what am I reading again. I wanted to stop reading half hour in but I made up my mind that I would finish it. it lacked so much. also...it seems like she took the opportunity to lay out her religious beliefs and incorporate them HEAVY in the story. Idk...it was just not a good story. Nia's narration was just okay, she sounded like she was reading words off a page 🤷🏾♀️ so that definitely didn't help.
Basically, it was boring, so completely farfetched from the story of winter its just ridiculous and should have been called something else. it was really really bad.

just ok
Revisado: 03-11-20
The story was good but nothing that made the next chapter even more exciting to read. it was just a story to listen to. A very soft acceptable story involving racial issues. the narrator was kind of ...idk, it just didn't match up when it came to the black characters and when it came to the narration of the child's voice, yikes. She made the little girl sound like zombie like. Overall, it was a decent time pass of a story but I won't remember it.
