Captivating Conclusion

A mesmerizing conclusion to an epic trilogy that will keep you captivated for nearly 27 hours! Do not let the length intimidate you away from this book. The writing grips you from the first chapter and refuses to let go until the very end. The narrator remains as enchanting and immersive as in the previous installments. Their skillful delivery brings the story to life, making it difficult to hit pause even for a moment. The depth of the characters, especially Elise, is remarkably rich in this last book. However, that did make me feel a myriad of emotions throughout since I became so invested in the characters. And just when you think you know how things will go and start to get comfortable, unexpected twists and turns take you by surprise. The ending left me feeling wistful as the journey came to a close. I find myself ready to start this trilogy all over again (which is rare for me). This series is truly a hidden gem!

Just keeps getting better!

After Book 1, I couldn't wait to start Book 2, and it did not disappoint! Not only does the story continue but it builds (with some twists and turns). You also get to experience more growth and detail to the characters (from their own point of view!). The narrator is still so perfect for this series and I'm glad she continued reading for Book 2. It is so interesting to "watch" Elise grow in her power and mature in many ways, but only to then realize at the end that she still has a lot to learn. I am very much looking forward to Book 3!

Can’t wait to hear what happens next!

One of those books that’s hard to stop listening to- intriguing story and great narration! The narrator is wonderful for this book (and series). She made listening to the story effortless. The characters really come to life and I found myself wanting to continue listening to find out what happens next. Cannot wait to listen to Book 2!
