This is a great series. The world building is wonderful. I love the characters and the interaction within. The flow from book to book is cohesive and you don't get lost in the story even after a while in between books. The narration is well done with no confusing characters.

I really enjoyed the story line and characters of this book. The narration was hard to get past. It was very stilted and choppy. I appreciated the annunciation.
The narrator did not try to differentiate the characters so it made it hard to follow who was who at time. All in all I enjoyed the story and would like to continue.

Having two sisters and an infant dragon to present as debutantes to the Order makes "normal" difficult. The fine ladies - she-dragons one and all - of the Cotillion Board make it impossible.

This series of books has been wonderful. I love how more and more of the Austen characters are starting to show up. The story line is different than most Austenesque stories but still keeps within the style. Benjamin Fife does a superb job of character voices. You can tell the difference between characters and size easily. I can't wait until the next instalment is out.

This was not what I expected but I enjoyed it very much. The story line is original and carries well. Just enough mystery to keep you guessing yet enthralled. Wonderful characters. I usually don't like female narrators but Maria caught my attention and didn't grate on my nerves. I now wonder what is to happen next and will look for the next book. Well done.

This has a great world and wonderful characters. It was nice to get some of the back story for the book before this one. We now understand some of the characters better. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I am very intrigued and would like to know where it goes from here. The narrator does a wonderful job.

I just love the way the author has kept to the principals of the period but added the twist of Dragons. This was an insightful look into Elizabeth's early years and it was lovely. I am looking forward to the next book. The narrator has a wonderful way of letting you imagine the size of the dragons by the way he does his voices, Well done.
