Historia
At twenty-two, free-spirited Amber Farrow has no concerns beyond finishing her final year of nursing on exchange in Australia. What she hasn't counted upon is crossing paths with Griffin Lee. Amber and Griffin's two hearts are clearly made for each other. But where Griffin is inclined to put down roots, Amber has always been a citizen of the world, treading lightly upon the earth, never staying too long in one place. Before long, Amber's inability to be still leaves Griffin behind.

Thiught provoking
Revisado: 07-20-24
This book took me by surprise. I didnt think i would like it but it was free and i needed to listen to something. I loved hiw an author used the theory of qauantum entanglement . If you meant to be together you will find the way.. Deep and said and kept me listening and think about my life and my regrets and time lost waiting for something instead of just taking a chance and give yourself fully to one moment -life. l loved it

very good listen. i gave 4 stars because i felt like an author is sending a message out there that anyone can get away with murder and actually be ok and happy afterwards like its a normal thing. turned me off a little. performance was very good.

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Another "WOW" from me!
Revisado: 11-03-22
Right after few sentences at the start of the book i felt goosebumps and thought, do I really want to listen to a book that is being narrated from the point of view of Death? But i finished the introduction and was captivated. Oh waoooh, what a book and most importantly what a narration! You absolutely must listen to it! I honestly think that if i chose to read it myself I wouldn't have done a better job than Allan did.

Story keeps you engaged to the end. Very sad though. Performance was good overall but sometimes i felt it was overdone especially for Effie.

Can't listen to a narrator.
Revisado: 06-21-22
the story is vague, only towards the end got a little captivating. Narrator is slow and especially chapter announcement like she was driving a screw driver into the nerve... I am not gonna listen to other books of the series.

slow moving
Revisado: 10-03-21
I didn't enjoy this book as much as authors other books. I guess for me it was slow. Narration was slow on a main character. Maybe because narrator was trying to bring his depressed state out or personality that stopped caring, if thats the case than goal was achieved. I did enjoy the accents and essence of other characters.

I loaded this book by mistake and decided to give it a go. Let me tell you I was into this book in a matter of a few minutes. Pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Narration is perfect, story is very good and most of all i enjoyed how author is able to depict small details that create a very vivid imagery and make you live in the story. Absolutely amazing writing.
