Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Interviews need sound balancing

Great book on the history of Harry Potter and magic in general. My only complaint is the sound. The book is filled with interviews and their volume varies greatly so that gets to be quite annoying.

This is my second favorite Harry Potter book, just behind Prisoner of Azkaban. The look at the past and fleshing out of several minor characters is absolutely fantastic, as well as Luna making her first appearance. Jim Dale is brilliant as always.

Decent story. A little far fetched in some areas with some cringe worthy moments. The narrator was fine but his country accent during the readings of the "city slicker" parts brought me out. Quite a bit of repetitive word usage as well.

Amazing

An amazing sci fi story filled with humor and adventure. The book is a take on Star Trek but focusing on the side characters instead of the main. Strange disappearances and deaths are occurring and the secrets must be uncovered. Very entertaining and well written. Will Wheaton gives an amazing performance and is quickly becoming my favorite narrator.

Good but not great

I saw the premier of the television series and decided that I would highly enjoy the book. It's a great novel about magic and the intricacies are fantastic. The author details how hand movements are needed to be precise to work magic and sticks to this much better than Harry Potter where the words and wand movements get de-emphasized in later books. The kids are also a little older than the potter series and the themes tackled are more mature and gruesome. The only part of the book I disliked is the main character as he is whiny and mopey and generally hard to like. I do prefer his character in the novel over the tv series though. Still worth a read if you are craving a more mature version of Harry Potter.

I received this book for free via Reddit in exchange for a review. It is A great trip back to the time of dinosaurs. When I stopped trying to compare it to Jurassic Park and letting it stand on its own it grew much more enjoyable for me. The author does a good job with the flow and pacing of the novel and the narrator does a fantastic job of bringing the work to life. Definitely recommend to anyone who love time travel and dinosaurs.
