OK for quick, romantic stories with lots of sex

the stories were Ok. The character development was a bit obvious, but ok for a quick romance novel. A few loose ends. A lot of sex, which the story line actually supported.

Main thing I did not like: the female narrator. her voice sounds to old for the age and personality of the characters. I preferred the female voice of the male narrator.

Too whiny

The story has a somewhat silly premise but not too far fetched in today's reality TV world, which made it sound like it would be a funny book. However, the author failed to make it funny. i could only listen to the first 3 hours before giving up. 3 hours of lsitening to the main character whine about the same thing over and over. No character development; very little plot development.
The narrator was Ok. She did convey the whine of the main character.

Story is awesome. Narrator is so-so

I am a fan of the Anita Blake series. I have all the hardcover books and have read each multiple times. I recently started building my audible collection of the books. The narration of books 1-10 was really good. I did not enjoy all the special effects but they did not detract much from the enjoyment of listening. The narationin this book (#11) however, was not great. The narrator did not know the correct pronunciation of the French words and even some English words. Worse, she did not know how to pronounce "were" in werewolf, wereleopard, etc. It came out as "wier". They have not done all the books for Audible yet. I hope they go back to the narrator of the first 10 books.
