Entertaining and Imaginative
Revisado: 02-02-25
This was my 4th John Connolly book, 2nd in this series. His stories are very imaginative and entertaining. I really enjoy his characters and highly recommend giving not just this series, but any of his books a try.

Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

It was okay.
Revisado: 05-30-24
It was okay, but not something I would read or listen to again. If you haven't tried it yet, wait till it's on the free list.

Great story with great narration
Revisado: 09-05-22
This wasn't the type of story I would normally listen to, but I am glad I gave it a try. I enjoyed it so much I had a hard time not listening continuously to find out what happened next. The only issue it the format of the audible book chapters doesn't make the stated chapters in the narration.

James joins Peter Pan on a holiday to Neverland, a place of adventure created by children's dreams, but Neverland is not for the faint of heart. Soon James finds himself longing for home, determined that he is destined to be a man. But Peter refuses to take him back, leaving James trapped in a world just beyond the one he loves. A world where children are to never grow up.

Neverland for grown-ups
Revisado: 01-31-22
I read some of the reviews before trying Never, Never so I knew it was aimed for adults or at least YA which is the group I would have placed it.
Hook is one of my favorite villains and I have always enjoyed him over Pan. If you feel the same way then this is the story for you. Never, Never is Hook's story and how he came to be. The story is really good and ties in the child version we all grew up with. The narrator is great and I look forward to discovering more books he has narrated. I really enjoyed the different voices he used for each character, especially Hook.

Give this one a try if you enjoy mysteries.
Revisado: 11-09-21
This first time I tried this book I didn't make it but a few minutes. After finishing another book I decided to give this another try. This time I looked at the chapters before beginning and realized the start of the story is newspaper clipping being read that go with the story. You could skip that part if you wanted to. Once the actual story began it didn't take long to find it hard to quit listening. The story is a good supernatural mystery and glad I gave it another go. Jackson isn't the best narrator, but I would listen to another good story if he was narratoring.
