I wish I had a sister!
Revisado: 12-31-11
This is beautiful story. Although the plot was fairly predictable the characters were real and there was nothing boring about this book. Read with feeling and thoroughly enjoyable.

Great Story
Revisado: 12-24-11
Loved this story. Matthew Reilly has included everything; adventure, intrigue, political tension, history. Wow. His weaving of current history into the story is very interesting. Makes you wonder about real life conspiracies.
I was majorly disappointed by the narration especially for such an action packed book. While I liked Sean Mangan's voice very much his narration was much too slow and I found it boring. In fact I put my iPod onto "faster" for 2/3's of the book and then it honestly became much more enjoyable. Try it.

Loving Friendship Story
Revisado: 12-19-11
A beautiful story about a complicated friendship. The characters are recognisable as people we all know. This book made me laugh and made me cry. What more could I want. The narration was appropriate, gentle and varied - superb.

A book by Nora Roberts - say no more
Revisado: 12-19-11
Yes, it is a typical Nora Roberts book. Romance, intrigue, mystery, plot twists. In other words an easy and enjoyable listen - except for the narration. I found that the male characters portrayals were a major disappointment. Having said that one does get used to the narration.

Not normally my cup of team but ....
Revisado: 12-19-11
This is not something I would normally bother with. Vampires and witches - really! However, I really did enjoy this book very much. The story wasn't predictable and the characters were almost human.
I particularly liked the conflict between the different creatures. Similar to prejudices we face in real life with race and culture. The moral is that nothing is too great that it can't be overcome.
Highly recommend this book.

Predictable
Revisado: 12-15-11
This story was so predictable - the plot has been done to death.
The saving grace was the narration paricularly James Daniels. He was very believable even with the female characters.

Not suitable for audio
Revisado: 12-10-11
This applies for the entire series. The books are complicated and I believe not suitable for audio book format. I could not keep track of what was happening and who was doing what and when. Numerous rewinds later I gave up.
I have enjoyed Janny Wurtz in the past and enjoy her stories but only in the written word in future.

What would you do?
Revisado: 12-09-11
Exceptionally well researched with believable, everyday characters involved in an "existence" changing plot. A beautiful love story set in dramatic times of which we are all aware with a perfect ending as well. I can't recommend this book enough.
I never imagined I would cry over a Stephen King novel but that was excactly what I did. This story kept me intriqued from beginning to end and I kept asking myself the same question over and over, 'What would you do?' I still don't know the answer but the story, climax and ending were much more than satisfactory.
I'm not a huge fan of the horror genre so haven't read much Stephen King but there is no way this would fall into that category. Having said that I believe that if you are a fan of Stephen King you will not be disappointed. Time travel it is, but in this book the horror is a very real concept. He is a wonderful storyteller.
Yes, it is longer than my normal audiobook but it was never boring. Every word was necessary to the story and the narration varied with the characters so it was good listening.
It doesn't stop with the story. You must listen to the afterword by Stephen King. Impressive!
