Sorry... Really? Thrust? Anyway, Danny Kendrick was a down-on-his luck performer who always struggled to find his place. He certainly never wanted to be a hero. He just hoped to earn a living doing what he loved. That all changes when he pisses off the wrong guy and gets sucked into a fantasy realm straight out of a Renaissance Fair. Getting used to a new world is tough. It's even tougher when you're surrounded by axe-wielding barbarians, super hot elf assassins, strange magic, and a jaded System that doesn't appear interested in being charged with yet another companion.

Good book, but tuned out during the WOKE crap.

The overall story is good, and I liked listening to it, but I tuned out / skipped ahead whenever the main character starting blubbering on about how SHE always thought SHE was a man and blah blah blah. Thankfully Dinniman dropped that stuff in DCC.

I'm a huge Ex-Force fan, but his new series leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm about 2.5 hours in and I'm bored, the dog is annoying as all hell and judging from the other reviewers not much really happens until 20 minutes till the end. No thanks... Hopefully Alanson gets back to what he does best, because this isn't it. Can always write books about the Ethics and Compliance office. I'll buy those....

No where as good as the first

I had to return this title after about 2 hours of listening. Its definitely not as good as the first book and I found myself getting bored, and oh my god did why did he have to keep singing that damn song after 2 hours I swear he sung that damn respective song line 5+ times. Its like 1/4 of the total run time of the book is him singing that stupid song, oh yea we get it, you killed the plastic surgeon guy no need to keep repeating it every 5 minutes. .
