This was a creative story. I actually wasn't going to finish it because the first 2/3rds of the book were not very interesting. It kept bouncing between 2 different stories and I was losing interest. then the twist came in and I was instantly hooked.
I'm pretty frustrated about the racheal bit not being explained by the end.

The other took a bunch of mythological creatures and labeled them all as fae. wampires, werewolves, dragons, gorgons (which they call medusas), and so many more creatures from myths that they butchered. This book isn't about magic or monsters. It is just a highschool drama.... bleh. Nothing significant happens in this first book. it's all about the 18 year old protagonists constantly being bullied by everyone including the staff. It isn't clear what age everyone else is either. I'm rambling. this book sucks.

where to start? The part that alarms me the most is the mind of the author. This is some really weird stuff. They mix adult fiction with supernatural child protection services. That alone is enough to raise some red flags. He goes from talking about an abused child to a sex scene.
Okay, so that doesn't bother you enough to say no? This book gives you no context. You start off will a chapter from an abused child's point of view who is narrated by John Solo In baby talk... the narrator already has a creepy voice. I'm sorry John I have no clue how you got a job narrating books. His voice makes me cringe.
Alright, so back to the lack of context. You hear that a gay couple moved in next door to this abused child. Then it switches to another characters narration, a man and his pregnant mate. eventually it involves into a sex scene were I realize they are both men. good right? well one of the guys is pregnant..... okay? how did that work??? well I sure as hell don't. In this serious guys get pregnant and there isn't anything to shed light on that.
This is a book about child abuse and male impregnation. I'm against burning books but this one should never of been written. truly disgusting.

this book had a terrible story line. the vocabulary was childish emphasized by a god awful narrator. don't get me wrong though it's not for children sure they say poop instead of shit but the whole goal of a core character is to kill and has zero empathy. I wish I could get a refund. honestly I think audible boosts the rating of books to get more purchases and I'm done getting bent by this overpriced app.
