Historia
A groundbreaking guide to the surprising source of good health. Genetics and lifestyle are thought to be the two most important determinants of good health. But that is not the whole story. We have a second genome, our gut bacteria, that sets the dial on our bodies. Unlike our DNA, we can influence the gut bacteria, or microbiota, to optimize all aspects of our health. In The Good Gut, noted Stanford researchers Justin and Erica Sonnenburg investigate how the trillions of microbes that reside in our gastrointestinal tract help define us.

Changed my thinking
Revisado: 01-21-20
This book was really great. It changed my viewpoint completely about dietary fiber and probiotics. My only complaint was that it was really dull during some points, and was almost like listening to a study. But other than that, it was filled with useful information that I never would have known if I hadn't purchased this book.

Honestly, this was the best book I ever heard. I bought a hard copy of it too, to follow along. I think any Christian could learn something from this book, not just musicians, artists, or dancers!

Historia
People of faith are lined up in lanes all over this globe, batons in hand, running the race that matters most in this world - the divine relay! The divine relay is tough. The track is treacherous. There are so many ways to mangle the exchange zones, to overshoot, to be knocked off the track, to drop the baton, to stop running. The church needs champion runners who never give up, who persevere no matter what they encounter, who run to win, unstoppable, no matter the cost.

Great story, terrible narrator.
Revisado: 10-14-19
I love Christine Caine and all of her books, and this one was so inspiring and great, too. I definitely recommend this book... except not in audible. The narrator was honestly one of the worst I ever heard. She talked so fast, I wasn't sure where she stopped and where she began half the time. A couple times through the book, I heard her repeat what she was saying. I think the people who edit it must have missed that. Also, she was extremely monotone and hard to follow.

If 14-year-old Cassandra Reed makes it through her first day at Miss Castwell’s Institute for the Magical Instruction of Young Ladies without anyone discovering her secret, maybe, just maybe, she’ll let herself believe that she really does belong at Miss Castwell’s. Except Cassandra Reed’s real name is Sarah Smith and up until now, she lived her whole life in the Warren, serving a magical family, the Winters, as all non-magical “Snipes” are bound by magical Guardian law to do. That is, until one day, Sarah accidentally levitates Mrs. Winter’s favorite vase in the parlor....

Delightful
Revisado: 09-30-19
I think the other reviews for this audiobook are hilarious, mainly because the thing I noticed most were people complaining about this book being "too cliche" and "Molly Harper's other books are better." The funny thing is, ALL of Molly Harper's books are cliches. Anyway, I rather enjoyed this book, and actually preferred it to Molly's more adult novels. The lady who narrated it was also one of the most entertaining narrators I ever listened to. The only reason I give it four stars was because it was very predictable from the very beginning, but still a good read.

Great Book
Revisado: 09-26-19
Before buying this book, I read the reviews. And after reading this book, I'm not really sure why there are so many negative reviews. I honestly thought this book was helpful and packed with good information. On top of that, the author did a great job of reading his own book. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to change their habits and is looking for something to motivate them.

Really unhelpful book
Revisado: 08-15-19
This book is one of the worst "self help" books I have ever read. The entire thing was just the author talking about herself. I have no clue what point she was trying to make, and got nothing out of it. The author basically "humble bragged" about her life, acting as if she had nothing under control, while explaining how everything just magically fell into place for her.

When she is finally able to make the trip to meet them, she is shocked to learn someone else has been living with them and pretending to be Sara. Struggling, Sara finds an old canning jar hidden in the barn that is full of encouraging prayers.

Loved the first book. Second book, meh.
Revisado: 08-14-19
It was a cute enough book, but I wish the author would have focused more on Michelle's story rather than Sarah's. I found Sarah to be a super boring character. Still would recommend this book however as closure for Michelle's story.

Historia
Michelle Taylor is not who her new family in Lancaster County believes her to be. The Lapps were looking for their long-lost granddaughter when they met Michelle, and she assumed the identity of Sara Murray. Once homeless and hopeless, Michelle has come to love her new Amish friends and even considers the idea of romance among them. Finding an old blue jar in the barn that is filled with slips of paper containing thoughts, quotes, and prayers by an unknown author becomes a boost to Michelle’s budding faith.

Good performance
Revisado: 07-22-19
The performance was great. Listening to the Bible from front to back gave me a whole new perspective of the Bible. I recommend everyone listen from beginning to end (although it took me a couple months to finish the whole Bible.) Overall, the readings were done very well, and the drama made for an interesting listen.
