Historia
FBI agent Jessica Blackwood believes she's left her complicated life as a gifted magician behind her - until a killer with seemingly supernatural powers puts her talents to the ultimate test. A hacker who identifies himself only as "Warlock" brings down the FBI's website and posts a code in its place that leads to a Michigan cemetery, where a dead girl is discovered rising from the ground - as if she tried to crawl out of her own grave.

Magic and Homicide
Revisado: 08-21-21
This is a terrific blend of creative homicide with the exposure of the secret methods of magic tricks. The FBI brings in one of their own, agent Jessica Blackwood, with a background in performance magic to help discover the methods used to kill in seemingly impossible ways. The only weak portion of the book is the requirement that Jessica's friend, Daemon, is highly intelligent, extremely wealthy and all knowing. It's a small price to pay for a truly entertaining read and I am looking forward to the other books in this series.

A Person of Interest
Revisado: 08-16-21
Very similar to the TV program, A Person of Interest. Well written and the narrator did a great job.

Historia
It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

The Right Number
Revisado: 06-17-21
Cara Bastone is a literary genius when it comes to people getting to know each other without actually meeting (or knowingly meeting). I thought that Call Me Maybe might be a fluke, but now she has followed it up with Sweet Talk and I'm convinced that she is uniquely gifted. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in this series.
