I enjoyed this story and listened to it steadily for two days. I listened to and enjoyed Scott Brick's narration of the first two books of The Passage trilogy but have not finished because they induce a certain amount of anxiety. This book doesn't create anxiety but I was still invested in the characters. For a post apocalypse story, the immediate threat level is very low, and still I had trouble turning the story off. I don't know if it was the narration or the mostly uplifting story, but it was a very enjoyable listen.

I look forward to each JD Robb book as Susan Ericksen does a tremendous job bringing the characters to life. They seem like old friends.

Although entirely different in flavor from the Canadian TV series which I
adore, I find this Murdoch equally enjoyable though more a 'standard' mystery experience. The characters are well drawn and the mystery involving. Narration is done well.

What did you love best about Cold Days?

Thank goodness Dresden has his body back and his friends behind him. Cold Days is a return to action. Dresden is never better than when he has his friends to give him grief and bad guys to stomp.

What does James Marsters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

James Marsters IS Dresden. I can't listen to anyone else narrate these books; even when reading them, I hear his voice. He has a great grasp of all the characters and brings them all to life, but Dresden is the key.
