solid writing, solid reading, and solid story.

I love that this story is so, very human. from battling mental trauma, to the tedium of simple survival, Bobby Adair created a very believable fiction.
Every time I thought he missed the mark in Zed's character, he rounded it out with the perfect reactions from the rest of the characters and situations.
Very, thoroughly thought out.

Tepid story using pieces of existing stories.
Far too in depth details on sex. I'm no prude, I just think morw should be left to imagination, not straight up porn.
However enthusiastic, the reader's accents were distracting, and the performance was a bit melodramatic.

Masterful Fantasy for the Jaded Heart

I am a big fan of Gaiman's books, generally.
I didn't discover his writing until well into my adulthood, so some of his writing that is geared for a younger audience (such as this) leaves me in a position to not be able to identify with the story as well as I'd like.
The darkness of the story however, always draws me in.
This story is rich with character description and curiosity, as well as a wonderfully Gaiman approach to the macabre.
This is a fantastic YA story, with very colorful detail.
Hearing the stoy in Gaiman's voice lends an authentic take his ideas on how the characters sound and well as specifying the intended emphasis points.
Over all I like it.

It was dark, scatterings of well thought out humor, and insightful into the minds of humanity.
