A wonderful study of grace.

The narrator was easy to understand yet a bit robotic. I wish there were narrators that could be more natural, like they were telling their own stories. I enjoyed hearing his perspective on how we are graced with spiritual gifts and why it is that grace that makes us effective in some and not others.

It was a good story but some parts get so drawn out with tedious descriptions. Since we listened throughout a long road trip we didn't mind it but the ending was sappy too.

struggled to finish. it was a good story but the sex was so melodramatic. just seemed like it could have been 5 chapters shorter and greatly improved.

Matthew is a talented writer with little wisdom.

We felt sad for him most the time. It just seems he has a lot of warped values he tries to convince himself and others to be virtuous. We made ourselves finish hoping for a stellar ending. Fortunately he's still with us so there's still time.

A great explanation of the information war.

I appreciated the down to earth relaying of how information has been used throughout history. More importantly how false information is now being used to manipulate our culture. We all know it. We all feel there is something wrong when respected medical doctors are being censored, when the minute someone gets enough attention, yet isn't following the prescribed narrative, their site is suddenly gone. I have lost count of how many of my posts have breached the "facebook community standards". It is my hope we will all join the information war and cease to be the "silent" majority.

I really enjoyed how the author kept me guessing. I never thought I had it all figured out. The faith element was also very realistic, not preachy yet honest. I decided its one I'd repeat with hubby on a long roadtrip.

Fascinating history and perspective of the Apostle

NT Wright while brilliant in his perspectives can at times seem rather wordy. However, I pressed on and found the overall work to be fascinating and very insightful. It brings an even deeper dimension to faith in Christ.
