Historia
When Selasi and Akorfa were young girls in Ghana, they were more than just cousins; they were inseparable. Selasi was exuberant and funny, Akorfa quiet and studious. They would do anything for each other, imploring their parents to let them be together, sharing their secrets and desires and private jokes. Then Selasi begins to change, becoming hostile and quiet; her grades suffer; she builds a space around herself, shutting Akorfa out.

A story I won't forget anytime soon.

We can all be right and wrong, perspective is what makes the difference. Perspectives perspectives perspectives...Beautiful story. The last part's performance was deceiving though, at least it was the shortest.

Vibrant narrative of the gut wrenching struggles of the black immigrant. Must read
Revisado: 12-19-24
Incredibly touching. What an illustration of the hardship, injustice and sacrifice immigrants go through. Women are superheroes. Immigrants are superheroes. One must travel to understand humanity across borders, it's differences, it's similarities. Kindness goes a long way. Faith and hope are the engine that keep one going.
I cried, I laughed, I lived every victory, every heartbreak, every step back with Lola. About to push replay. Yes, it was that good.
