Historia
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Historia
The first interstellar war, a generation ago, left humanity enslaved. Now humans fight in the armies of their masters to save themselves from annihilation. At least, that's what the propaganda insists is true. What the layers of lies keep hidden is how badly the new war is going for the people of earth. Now it's Dylan Kane's turn to blast into the heavens and join the battle, but what his masters don't know is that by putting a weapon in his hands, they're giving him the key to unlocking his hopes of freedom.

Dystopian start, action finish.
Revisado: 11-20-20
First 3/4 was almost pure 1960's depressive dystopian head games like 1984.
Last part finally got into enough action to offset the mysterious circumstances found.
Hoping the rest of the series stays mostly high.

Historia
Wally Roux is a teenage genius with a big imagination and a big heart, who just moved to Savannah, GA, from Maine with his mom, who adopted him when he was an infant. In this charming and sweet solo performance, Wally investigates what is causing a number of strange events and occurrences. He explores and gets lost within space-time - an infinite, indefinable, and mysterious void that you can’t see but when you slice into it you can feel it.

Cute YA story but dumped its language in the sewer
Revisado: 08-29-19
Narrator and background effects were outstanding, as was the core and majority of the story. Great idea woven into a tale of teen angst, with supporting cast of single parenting, racial, regional, cultural, and the other usual teenage relationship issues. Would have been a must-read recommendation for my 13 year old grandson, but for the language scattered throughout.
I respect the art of the author, and understand that half or more of that age group may regularly speak that way. However, he chose to place his work outside of librarys selected by those who are trying to guide -very- impressionable young minds into speech that can be used in all walks and situations of life.
Great work that will miss half it's target audience.

Historia
Our universe is ruled by physics, and faster-than-light travel is not possible - until the discovery of The Flow, an extradimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transports us to other worlds, around other stars. Humanity flows away from Earth, into space, and in time forgets our home world and creates a new empire, the Interdependency, whose ethos requires that no one human outpost can survive without the others. It's a hedge against interstellar war - and a system of control for the rulers of the empire.

F-bombs blow away this otherwise excellent tale

Wheaton was the perfect choice to narrate this truckload of f-bombs. Great story if you can get past that

Historia
It's spring in Burgundy. The flowers are out and so are the cardinals - of Pope Urban's renegade papacy, now on the run from the Vatican's would-be usurper Borja. Most of the Church's senior leaders have converged upon the city of Besancon, where the Pope plans to offer an ecumenical olive branch to the other Christian denominations with which Rome has been at war. Fortunately, Urban has up-time help. He can rely upon Cardinal-Protector Larry Mazzare's theological savvy, Sharon Nichols' medical skills, and her husband Ruy Sanchez's keen-eyed experience as a bodyguard-in-chief.

Excellent, but minor audio issues.
Revisado: 07-15-18
Usual excellence expected from these authors and narrator. Sound quality had a problem in a couple of spots in the second half, especially around 3 hours from the end. Most noticeable was a cyclic variation in the volumn, similar to that heard on ageing cassettes near the end of the tape.

Excellent tale. One error
Revisado: 04-22-18
Tale, telling, and narration great. One glaring error in this strongly technical book: elliptic (geometry term) was used several times in place of ecliptic (specific astronomy term for those references)

Historia
Though the Thirty Years' War continues to ravage 17th-century Europe, history as it once happened has been strongly deflected by the new force that is rapidly gathering power and influence: the United States of Europe, an alliance between Gustavus Adolphus, King of Sweden, and the West Virginians from the 20th century, led by Mike Stearns, who were hurled centuries into the past by a mysterious cosmic accident - the Ring of Fire.

Intricate narrative linking some B- team threads
Revisado: 05-03-17
What happens to support the major characters of the Ring of Fire. Who has to bear the brunt of the consequences of the these events, politics, and policies? The administrators, sergeants, and others on the B-team and C-team character list, of course!!! Because this narrative weaves together threads from the previous books, across almost 5 years of action, this book is best read soon after them, or after re-reading them.
