Avoiding Parenting
Revisado: 06-02-24
This Biblical view on parenting convicts and equips how NOT to avoid parenting. The books subtitle says "mothering" but could easily be replaced with "parenting". We justify so many of our actions (including sacrificing our children in the name of ministry) that we overlook or avoid the hardest task God gave us, bringing up our children in the love and admonition of the Lord. This text points out blind spots that take us away from intentionally parenting. It also encourages and sheds Biblical perapective on God's will for all parents.

Historia
Many people don't like the story God is writing in their lives. The mistakes, failures, tragedies, and circumstances outside of our control linger in our minds and hold us back. How do we come to grips with the pieces of our stories that we wish weren't there? How do we silence the pain of what has been done to us and the shame of what we've allowed to be done through us? In When You Don't Like Your Story, Bible teacher Sharon Jaynes shows us how God untangles our most painful emotions with the fingers of grace, putting his redemption on display.

When I didn't like my best friend's story
Revisado: 04-03-24
This book brought me so much encourage in a time of loss. I lost my best friend to cancer unexpectantly. We were ready to fight and God's grace took her home before I was ready. I didnt like my friend's story. I wanted her to be able to fight for her life for her two young children, for the ministry she would leave behind. This book gave me a different lens, a soften heart to reality and a renewed hope in God.

Gods Grace is sufficient in all things....
Revisado: 03-27-20
This is the best parenting book Ive ever read. Tripp points to Jesus in every caveat of parenting. Youve heard there is no instruction manual for raising kids, well there is and its the Bible. Check this book out to see the parallels of Christ love for us and how we are ambassoders of Christ for our children.
