Historia
Peter and his partner, Detective Tyler McAdams, are thrown into an unsolved case and propelled into action when a body is found in the very woods where a man previously went missing in upstate New York. But that’s not the only crisis that Peter has to deal with. Teresa McLaughlin, the biological mother of Peter and his wife Rina’s foster son, Gabe, has fled to Los Angeles with her two children in tow, hoping to avoid a court injunction amid a messy divorce. But LA is no escape from her problems—she is found by ruthless men and beaten mercilessly.

Repeated content!
Revisado: 10-04-22
This book droned for a long time and was totally disappointing! There were 2 plot lines that had nothing to do with each other. I’m a romantic but unless you call sodomy romantic, there was none. Decker and Lazarus need to stay in the Holy Land!

A Sweet Story
Revisado: 04-10-22
This isn’t a complex nor typical Patterson, but I loved it because it ended in happily ever after. Dolly was fun to listen to as one of the main characters as she changed her voice, or tried to anyway. This is an easy listen, but credit worthy.

Historia
Detective Isaac Bell's wife has said that he is always in the wrong place at the right time. This is certainly the case when Bell thwarts the assassination of a US senator shortly after meeting the man. This heroic rescue is just the start of the mystery for Bell, who suspects that the would-be assassins have a much larger and more dangerous agenda - one involving the nearly constructed Panama Canal. While the senator supports the building of the canal, there are many, including a local Panamanian insurgency known as the Red Vipers, who never want to see its completion.

Not the best…
Revisado: 03-09-22
I love Isaac Bell and his near death and triumphs are wonderfully written, but….there is too much adventure and killing and not enough story. In the book before this one, one was lead to believe that Bell was dead..but no! He’s back in this one. I’m glad he wasn’t dead, but he fried to get himself killed by extraordinary scenarios. Scott Brick is my favorite narrator, so I kept listening.

Thank you Jodi for using the isolation of Covid to write this story. I experienced a lot of emotion and saw my own struggles in those of the main character. It left me to ponder the magnificence of the human brain. I don’t want to ruin the book for anyone so I’ll just say GET it!

I’m Ready!
Revisado: 12-03-21
Kevin and I could not be more opposite! I’m an old white lady who grew up with a hypothetical spoon in my mouth. In my 68 years I have aspired to be a comedian, an artist, a nurse. I’m a retired nurse and a damn good one. I make most people laugh, but my humor has its roots in sarcasm. Kevin wrote a damn impressive and helpful book that gave me a lot of inspiration. He’s funny, but the content is serious. I’ve found myself thinking “what would Kevin do?” Thank you to Kevin Hart for showing me how to achieve!!

How did I miss this?
Revisado: 11-09-21
Jewel is in my kids generation so I knew of her and I liked her style and her influence that came from some of the great storytellers like Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen to name a few. I sort of found her again because I watch her family on TV.
She weaves her story here in beautiful captivating prose with a ton of insight and the sheer will to live on and see the beauty in living. This is not in the self help genre, but we can all learn from her stories. Now I am longing to meet her and give her a hug. I don’t know how to reach out and thank her for making me simply FEEL!

Historia
Reacher goes where he wants, when he wants. That morning he was heading west, walking under the merciless desert sun — until he comes upon a curious scene. A Jeep has crashed into the only tree for miles around. A woman is slumped over the wheel. Dead? No, nothing is what it seems. The woman is Michaela Fenton, an army veteran turned FBI agent trying to find her twin brother, who might be mixed up with some dangerous people. Most of them would rather die than betray their terrifying leader.

I am disappointed in this book and a little sad to feel the need to say I’m not crazy about Reacher being portrayed in first person. Narration was stellar as always! The story was hard to follow.

I don’t usually write long reviews, so concisely stated, it’s what I call “credit worthy “! The author did justice to bringing three protagonists into a poignant story of the blood, sweat and tears it took to get into Hollywood!

The narrator was just OK. The volume of his voice decreases and I was constantly fumbling for my volume control. The characters are great and well portrayed. I love the story, but wish it was a bit more scary!
