Historia
When Michael Pollan set out to research how LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) are being used to provide relief to people suffering from difficult-to-treat conditions such as depression, addiction, and anxiety, he did not intend to write what is undoubtedly his most personal book. But upon discovering how these remarkable substances are improving the lives not only of the mentally ill but also of healthy people coming to grips with the challenges of everyday life, he decided to explore the landscape of the mind in the first person as well as the third.

Inspirational, Difficult to Understand
Revisado: 04-17-19
Absolutely riveting and inspirational speeches. Some are very difficult to understand due to the nature of the recordings. These are actual recorded speeches of MLK which means that the audio quality is poor at the best of times. If one was to follow along with a written copy of the speeches it would be fantastic to capture the emotion involved without missing any of the important dialogue.

Historia
Best-selling author and legendary conspiracy researcher Jim Marrs, who has investigated the recent financial crisis, the JFK assassination, and the national socialist takeover of America, now takes on his biggest subject: the history of mankind. Offering mind-blowing information that will radically alter the way we think about the world and our place in it, Marrs goes beyond the revelations of his classic Alien Agenda, interweaving science and authentic archaeological finds with provocative speculation to show how human civilization may have originated with nonhumans who visited earth eons ago.

Historia
Many thousands of years ago, a group of extraterrestrials from another planet guided the evolution of life on Earth - determining the existence and nature of humankind as we know it today. How did the master builders from the stars construct the miracle called man? Is the DNA that is at the core of all life in the universe a "cosmic code" that links Earth to heaven and man to God?

Historia
John Taylor Gatto's Weapons of Mass Instruction focuses on mechanisms of traditional education which cripple imagination, discourage critical thinking, and create a false view of learning as a byproduct of rote-memorization drills. Gatto's earlier book, Dumbing Us Down, introduced the now-famous expression of the title into the common vernacular. Weapons of Mass Instruction adds another chilling metaphor to the brief against conventional schooling.

Overall, it's wonderful.
Revisado: 03-13-17
I have gone through all three of Paul Noble's Spanish courses and they have given me a valuable foundation for beginning conversational Spanish.
I am moving to Nicaragua next year and I was rather stressed about getting a basic grasp on the language in that time.
While I did absolutely love the program, the first 2 courses were better. The third was great until the end- the counting felt messy and unnecessary. Paul usually breaks down and reviews every phrase and word you've learned, but he dropped the ball in teaching numbers towards the end. I couldn't possibly remember all of them when they were thrown at me in a mess like that. The alphabet was slightly more enjoyable but the same case still applies there.
Overall, these are worth it. If you're vacationing, these should be enough to help you ask for the things you need and want, order food and figure out where you are.
