Historia
Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her twin. Too bad for Naomi, her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with a niece she didn’t know she had. Now, she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no home - and an 11-year-old to take care of. Since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least Knox can do is help her out. And just as soon as she's out of trouble, he can get back to his peaceful, solitary life. That’s the plan, until the trouble turns to real danger.

Cliche
Revisado: 07-25-23
Not the strongest story. Standard “strong man, delicate woman fall for each other” kind of smut.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Excellent story-telling! I’ve been looking for a read like this: interesting plot, a great story told well with realistic characters. Absolutely enraptured from beginning to end.

White feminism at its best
Revisado: 10-07-22
Yet another story about a white protagonist behaving badly and her mediocrity being buttressed by her smarter, more capable yet violent and overtly sexual black friend. It’s so strange how even when the main character admits that her best black friend is intellectually and professionally superior, said friend still ends up working for her to get HER in a position of leadership even she knows she doesn’t deserve but feels entitled to. Racist tropes and white supremacy abound. No thanks.

Glad I Stayed With It.
Revisado: 01-17-20
It totally starts slow and they introduce a bunch of people before you have a chance to care about them all but, WOW, what a ride. Stay with it.
