Maybe more suitable for teens?
Revisado: 09-26-23
I wanted to like these books, I really did. I read all 5 because I’m NOT a quitter, but it was a bit painful at times. I’ve been reading the likes of Lynette Eason & Dee Henderson for years, so perhaps that’s what I was expecting?
I’m not old, only in my 30’s, but I honestly felt like I was listening to teenagers. I have one so they’re somewhat relatable, but that doesn’t mean that I want to listen to teen romances. Not my thing.
I haven’t “read” the books, only listened, which makes me wonder if it’s the narrator making them sound more juvenile or the fact that the content is just too immature to be considered “adult.”
I do appreciate the fact that they’re clean, so there’s that. 🤷🏼♀️👍🏻

Historia
When her friend vanishes from a cruise ship, reporter Darcy St. James isn't satisfied with their explanation that she simply left her job of her own accord. Something isn't lining up, and Darcy believes the only way to find the truth is to put herself in Abby's position. Within days, Darcy learns her friend wasn't the only person to disappear mysteriously. Last summer, a woman vanished under almost identical circumstances. Gage McKenna has taken a summer-long stint leading adventure excursions for the passengers of various cruise lines that dock for a few days of sightseeing.

I wanted to like them, I really did.
They’re not awful, just perhaps not my “cup of tea”?
I ended up listening to all 5 because I’m not a quitter, but it was painful at times. I’ve read nearly every Lynette Eason & Dee Henderson & I guess that’s what I was expecting?
It could be that I’m getting old, idk? I’m only in my 30’s however, these honestly make me feel like I’m listening to teen romances. It could be the narrator?
I feel like she makes them sound a lot younger than they are meant to be, but I don’t know for sure since I’ve only listened, not read. The content is pretty immature, so I’m not sure that’s the issue.

Historia
Jack would rather be at sea than fixing the mistakes of his grandfather, the late Earl of Stansworth. Instead, he finds that inheriting his grandfather's wealth and title and securing the welfare of his sister and mother means joining the ranks of high society and living with the aristocracy. Luckily, Ivy Carslisle, the granddaughter of a dear friend of Jack's late grandmother, is willing to teach him etiquette and properly introduce him into society.

Great Story!
Revisado: 12-06-22
This is a good one! It’s the first I’ve read from this author, & definitely not the last.
It has clean, proper romance with just enough action & suspense to keep it from being dull as so many of this style can be.
The narrator was great as well!👍🏻

A little predicable, but a good clean story.
Revisado: 11-02-22
I guessed the “whodunit” by the 2nd chapter, but the storyline was good, not boring as some clean “Christian” stories can be. The narration was good, definitely better than some I have listened too.
Worth the listen imo.

GREAT STORY!!! Really bad narration…
Revisado: 08-02-21
The story was great!! The narration however was so bad, I nearly quit listening several times. I am currently listening to the next in the series, & it’s great as well, thankfully the narration is much better.
