I Love this book. B.R. is my Hero.
Revisado: 07-03-20
A rare glimpse. A privilege to know this gentleman; Brian Rutenberg. Mr. Rutenberg, has given me permission to be who I never knew I was allowed to be: An Artist. I cannot explain my deep gratitude to him for writing this book. Everyone needs a mentor like him, at least once in a lifetime.

Be Amazed, at the poem that is the human body!
Revisado: 02-10-20
Extremely rereshing to encounter writing that recalls the practice of medicine and training with fondness and fascination! A good reminder of why we were drawn to medicine in the first place. The beautiful orchestra that occurs daily without our own effort. Allow yourself to be amazed by the human body.

Historia
Jim Paul's meteoric rise took him from a small town in Northern Kentucky to governor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, yet he lost it all - his fortune, his reputation, and his job - in one fatal attack of excessive economic hubris. In this honest, frank analysis, Paul and Brendan Moynihan revisit the events that led to Paul's disastrous decision and examine the psychological factors behind bad financial practices in several economic sectors.

Rabbling book
Revisado: 03-30-19
I am trying hard to be patient with this book.
Feels like a chronological rabbling of this guys career. I wish the author would have tied things together; pull out the lessons or refer to them in each chapter.
I’m having a hard time not seeing this book as a huge waste of time. Please convince me otherwise.

Historia
For over 200 years, the East India Company was the largest and most powerful mercantile firm in Britain and Asia. Set up to procure Asian goods for British consumers, the Company's business network spanned Persia, India, China, Indonesia, and North America. In the late 1700s, its career took a dramatic turn as the Company lost ground as a trading firm, but founded an empire in India. Why did a merchant firm end up being an empire builder? Why did politics mesh so closely with the conduct of business in this time? This new account of the East India Company answers these questions by taking a fresh look at the world of Indian business.

What disappointed you about The Story of Indian Business: The East India Company?
Felt like a list of events instead of a well weaved together story.
How could the performance have been better?
Tone and pitch and speed needs to be adjusted to convey importance of concepts.
