Historia
Bringing to light that food and health go hand in hand, Matthew Kenney used every opportunity to improve his new raw cuisine and its methods. Speaking at TED conferences, moving to Los Angeles and raising awareness globally on how great tasting food can promote health, his brand grew. Nearly 25 years after becoming a disillusioned young chef, Kenney felt at home in his own life for the first time. Not only was he healthy and happy, he had identified the future of food.

Good story about perseverance.
Revisado: 01-27-15
Story is more about following your dreams and persevering through adversity in business, as it centers around the chef finding his path of being an innovator in the culinary scene. It is an interesting glimpse into the food world, especially the raw food & vegan world. Worth a listen because it offers a different view other than just the benefits of eating raw vegan.

Historia
All her life, Andie Mitchell had eaten lustily and mindlessly. Food was her babysitter, her best friend, her confidant, and it provided a refuge from her fractured family. But when she stepped on the scale on her 20th birthday and it registered a shocking 268 pounds, she knew she had to change the way she thought about food and herself; that her life was at stake.

Overloaded with adjectives
Revisado: 01-13-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Couldn't get past the introduction. There is such a thing as being too descriptive. I really wanted to hear what she had to say, but she wouldn't get to the point. Adjectives were overused to the point it felt like a grade school assignment of "Name as many words as you can think of to describe cake." I was nauseated and bored two minutes in.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Anything but this.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It felt like author/narrator was trying to be sexy and breathless, which was out of place for this book. It only made the extra adjectives that much worse.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Thankful that audible allows you to return a book.
