If you have listened or read anything else by Massie you know that detail is in no short supply. This title gives an in depth look at the life of Catherine the Great and is worth the time. If you like this I would suggest Peter the Great by Massie which is about double the length.

Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life, Dr. Gad Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. A professor at Concordia University who has witnessed this troubling epidemic firsthand, Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of these concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society.

Saad hit the nail on the head with this. I highly recommend for insight on the social justice warrior and postmodernism. Saad rails against the censorsing of free speach.

Historia
Said to be the world's longest poem, Mahabharata was originally composed in 100,000 Sanskrit verses by the ancient Indian sage Vyasa. Revered as a sacred text within Hinduism, it contains the great spiritual teaching Bhagavad-gita. Krishna Dharma has condensed the epic into a fast paced novel that fully retains the majestic mood of the original. A powerful and moving tale, it recounts the history of the five heroic Pandava brothers, sons of the Emperor Pandu.

Masterpiece
Revisado: 07-22-19
I have read everything I’ve been able to find on Genghis Khan and the Mongols and I have found this book to be quite close to the historical events while also giving you an up close look into what the daily life of a mongol would have been like. I enjoyed that it was predominately told from the point of view of his wives as this allowed you to see things from a perspective that no other text that I’ve come upon does. I would recommend this to anyone who is even slightly interested in Genghis Khan.
