Historia
Ignatius was a man discipled by the Apostle John, who was deeply rich in humility and wisdom. His letters live on, long after his death, and today we have the opportunity of hearing them! Friends, let us study the holy Scriptures, for this is the very thing greater than all earthly bread, but let us also not neglect the study of the very men that walked and lived in the days of the Apostles, for their wisdom and words are valuable to our development unto holiness and godly virtue.

Historia
Saint Francis of Assisi is one of the most influential men in the whole of human history. This acclaimed biography of Saint Francis examines the life of a pure artist, a man "whose whole life was a poem". Here is the Saint Francis who prayed and danced with pagan abandon, who talked to animals, and who invented the crèche. Yet Francis also acknowledged the mystic responsibility to communicate his divine experience.

Sublime story written by a sublime mind
Revisado: 01-26-24
Chesterton never stops surprising us.
Short book but full of enigmas and sentences that are far from my ordinary mind to conceive understanding. Still the little I’ve got made it unforgettable.

Historia
Richard M. Weaver argues that the decline of Western civilization resulted from the rising acceptance of relativism over absolute reality. In spite of increased knowledge, this retreat from the realist intellectual tradition has weakened the Western capacity to reason, with catastrophic consequences for social order and individual rights. But Weaver also offers a realistic remedy. These difficulties are the product not of necessity, but of intelligent choice.

Deep. Amazing.

One has to be acquainted with some philosophical background before reading this book. It summarizes so many others in a very organized and logical way. Very well written. Loved it and certainly will read it again.

Very informative.
Revisado: 07-07-23
Most Christians would be surprised how real Christianity is. Today they follow what best suit their world view or their personal interests and tastes. That’s not what Christianity is about. This book makes it clear.

Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

Excellent. Deep and Amusing.
I loved every page of this book.
I’ve ready several of CS Lewis books. This one is one of the best so far. It made me think about so many subjects. God bless him.

Historia

Revisado: 02-09-21
A must read for anyone trying to understand why the West accomplished so much, specially why Christianity has added so much to Hellenic thought. It makes a perfect pairing with “Ten philosophical mistakes” of Mortimer Adler. These 2 books certainly instructed me more about Christianity and its deep philosophical meaning than everything else. I’m definitely luck to have read those. By consequence it gave me a deeper understanding of history than I’d ever find in any history book.

Human Action is the most important book on political economy you will ever own. It was (and remains) the most comprehensive, systematic, forthright, and powerful defense of the economics of liberty ever written. This is the Scholar's Edition: accept no substitute. You will treasure this volume. The Scholar's Edition is the original, unaltered treatise (originally published in 1949) that shaped a generation of Austrians and made possible the intellectual movement that is leading the global charge for free markets.
