Nobody will be naming their children Zuck, Joel, or Sheryl anytime soon. Careless People is the nail in the Facebook coffin, but no worries, it already has a new name. If the Senate finds author and whistleblower Sarah Wynn-Williams’ testimony regarding ties with China well-founded … next? Life could just “Meta”-morph into an obscure memory about a would-be empire that just, well, dissolved. Memorable scenes: In-flight board-game cheating, remote one-on-one, on-the-bed meetings; a co-worker being sent out to buy the she-boss $10K of fancy underwear, plus $3K-worth for herself; demands to come to the plane's bedroom; the uniformed Chinese mini-army that fended off a pull-aside Zuck handshake; his sweating problem; 2016’s “Facebook” election; hate posts; deadly Myanmar violence; cutting deals with juntas; teen suicides, and lastly, the napkin dropped to the floor and the look that meant get on your knees and pick it up. Cooties. I feel like I just caught the cooties and need to go wash my hands.

This includes elected leaders, corporate farms (and their massive livestock disease disruptions), unsubsidized medium, small, or micro-farms, manufacturers of behemoth farm equipment (nearly $1M = base price for John Deere’s new 9RX 830 tractor), big box supermarkets (today price-gouging eggs for $12/dozen in Colorado), urban and rural voters, down to the last hunter-gatherer-shopper standing. Remember, "Food is a weapon," (famously quoted by Pres. Richard Nixon's ag secretary, Earl Butz, 1974) and has been since Medieval times. Mr. Reisinger should write a sequel called The Grass is Now Greener, or depending on how his ideas play out, Enjoy Your Soylent Green. I loved his authentic, verbal-bullet narration.

Green light to go ahead ... do it

He could read my tractor manual to me, and it would be great. Such a voice. But there is also a poet in Mr McConaughey, an adventurer and a wise man reminding us to live so that we can look back and enjoy it. Bravo!

Easy investing startet

This is an enjoyable listen if you are thinking you need to learn about investing. I got the deal with the Kindle version and switched between the two. I plan to reread, take notes, try some of the ideas in small experiments. Worth the time and money.

Valuable read

I started experimenting with some of the ideas in this book before I finished it, and found myself getting a lot more accomplished. it's one of those few books that is definitely worth the time, more than worth the time actually, since the time you spend with it starts "compounding" right away if you apply the principles. I think most of us know the difference between good and bad habits. This book teaches you how to start in small ways that are achievable. It also gives you ways to look back and decide whether what you are doing is worth it. The author is a good reader, not quite as good as a professional actor, but in nonfiction, I really like to hear the author more than I like hearing an actor. Well done!

Would have been a good persuasive essay

I had to give up on this book after about chapter 14 because while the message is strong, and the topic is important, it didn't get past what to do with your exercise program. At least I didn't make it that far. I found the "wait, wait, we're going to tell you what to do, but listen to this next case study first" writing style hard to stick with. . All the case studies would have made good testimonials on the website, and the discussions of actual studies would have made good footnotes. I need books that clip right along, showing progress, giving immediate tips. It would have been enough to just say get your doctor's advice or get some of these fancy physical tests before you start, but instead we had to listen in great detail to exactly what such tests entail. That being said, I am converted to the belief that strength training and resistance training are an important part of any exercise program, especially if you don't want to end up with sarcopenia and dependent on a nursing home, unable to get off the toilet seat by yourself.

The Road to Greatness

Knowing how Amazon, Google, Facebook and Apple got there is worth the time. Knowing what it takes for somebody else to make it is a big bonus, and thinking about true achievement makes this book a winner. Plus, you get ace analysis, dry humor and an awesome Audible narration.
