Started out great and the got preachy.
Revisado: 10-10-24
I enjoyed 3/4 of the book. But then it got preachy. I get the message about protecting the environment and agree, but it became predictable and boring.

I couldn’t put it down
Revisado: 10-08-24
I liked the unique story about the different people’s lives as they are faced with a person telling them the year they would die. The character development is superb. I loved the book Laine Moriarty at her best and the narration was excellent.

England is full of incompetent male police and detectives
Revisado: 10-01-24
The overpowering message that males are sexist incompetent police detectives took away from the story. You can have strong women characters because they perform well, not because the men are incompetent. It was an insult to men and women alike.

Not as great as expected
Revisado: 09-02-24
The story had potential, but very repetitive throughout. The narrator did not do the male voices well. I’m a Kristin Harmer fan, but this was not one of my favorites.

Revisado: 03-02-24
The story is not one of Kristen Hannah’s best, but it is from 2006 and she has developed since then. The narrator was not a good choice and really detracted from the story.

Revisado: 11-06-23
This novel had me hooked from the beginning, the performance was excellent. I typically don’t give 5 stars, but this novel got me out of a book slump. The characters were so well developed. I hated certain characters and pitied the gullible. The story was gripping and suspenseful.

Disappointed in the Narrator, book was average
Revisado: 11-04-23
I listened to the book and the narrator’s inflections and “over the top” style detracted from a - “so so” thriller. It was more of a romantic novel then thriller and the main character was weak. I stayed with it hoping it would get better. The Housemaid series is far superior.

Disappointed
Revisado: 02-23-23
The story is about the detectives family, with nothing of substance. The DCI is very weak. The story is disjointed and has very little about solving the crime. Sorry I wasted a credit.
