Historia
Freddy Stern, a twenty-one-year-old cashier, has lived a plain, albeit harsh life. Having been orphaned—twice—he's spent the last ten years working and staying out of trouble. His only aspiration is to save enough money to become an archhuman. His dream gets the jump on him when he barely survives a near-death encounter and finds himself in possession of 1% Lifesteal, a bizarre talent with numerous contradictions and just as many uses.

Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Historia
Retired from his fighting days, John Perry is now village ombudsman for a human colony on distant Huckleberry. With his wife, former Special Forces warrior Jane Sagan, he farms several acres, adjudicates local disputes, and enjoys watching his adopted daughter grow up. That is, until his and Jane's past reaches out to bring them back into the game — as leaders of a new human colony, to be peopled by settlers from all the major human worlds, for a deep political purpose that will put Perry and Sagan back in the thick of interstellar politics, betrayal, and war.

Historia
John Perry did two things on his 75th birthday. First he visited his wife's grave. Then he joined the army. The good news is that humanity finally made it into interstellar space. The bad news is that planets fit to live on are scarce—and alien races willing to fight us for them are common. So: we fight. To defend Earth, and to stake our own claim to planetary real estate. Far from Earth, the war has been going on for decades: brutal, bloody, unyielding. Earth itself is a backwater.

Cool new world.
Revisado: 04-19-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have, because the story line and characters are refreshing.
What did you like best about this story?
The quest.
What about Wil Wheaton???s performance did you like?
good voice.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Trivial rewards.
Any additional comments?
This is a good book, characters are pretty fleshed out, decent bad guy. The good guys are cool and smart and can kick some virtual butt. The only flaw really is the author did not spend enough time making the bad guys individually bad, you get to know the organization is bad and the figure heads of that org, but overall I thought this was the weakest part of the book.Still, great book worth a listen!

Kurt Vonnegut's absurdist classic introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes 'unstuck in time' after he is abducted by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. In a plot-scrambling display of virtuosity, we follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all phases of his life, concentrating on his (and Vonnegut's) shattering experience as an American prisoner of war who witnesses the firebombing of Dresden.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

good voice.

Hunger Games 3
Revisado: 04-19-12
Would you listen to Mockingjay again? Why?
No. Too much like book 1/2
What was one of the most memorable moments of Mockingjay?
Killing the president.
Have you listened to any of Carolyn McCormick???s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
don't allow volunteers.
Any additional comments?
This book is ok, but really this one and the second are too much like the first, it's like the author found a winning formula and then pounded it into the ground. Mixing in some political stuff on the side. It's worth finishing the series but was a bit disappointed by books 2/3.
