Overall cute but some language issues

I’ve read a lot of Archer’s books, and have enjoyed them, but I feel like this one has some issues. There is a use of a slur for Romani people used repeatedly, and some prejudicial assumptions about the Roma and other Travellers in the text. Additionally, some other cultural characteristics for Chinese characters were a bit problematic. This made the books a disappointment for me.
I was hoping to hear a caveat at the end of the audio book (like the one that addressed the historical inaccuracies of the first book) but there wasn’t one. It might temper my interest in continuing to read the series.

Beautiful story!!

Devoured it from start to finish immediately after downloading! Power went out so I had to, but I didn’t mind! A few of the ballet words were said a little differently than I was used to hearing them, but the story was so perfect I didn’t need the performance to do any work.
Heart broke multiple times, but I will read again. Brava!!!

Then it’s obvious you’ve already been turned to stone.
Haynes is a writer I will pre-order without question. Humor is one thing, but deeply knowledgeable humor paired with an uncanny ability to personify gods? Only Natalie Haynes has managed to blow me to pieces with every single word.
