I haven't read the other translations, but you can't go wrong with Paul Bazely's narration of Easwaran's work.
For anyone interested in Buddha's teaching, this is a great start.

If you are looking for the proper meaning of the Gita, look no further. This is the real thing. Easwaran, being an English and Eastern philosophical scholar offers insights like no one can. He has the tools, knowledge, wisdom and personal experience to tell us what it means.
The literal translation from Sanskrit to English is not enough for most people to understand Gita. You need context. Much needed book and highly applicable book for these times.

For people who haven't been exposed to Mahabharata or not know what Bhagavad Gita is, this is a great introduction. It is easy to follow. The concepts are explained logically.
The literal translation of Gita might be too difficult to follow or even misleading for the new.
Beautiful anecdotes and parables are used to explain the teachings in Gita.
The one aspect I didn't like, was Mr. Hartman's repeated plugs for his other book.
