Not my favorite but it was good

Everything is good except this story isn’t my favorite, it is different from the previous ones. This one is much softer and trauma heavy vs the whole stalker, enemies to lovers, heavy tension concept of the previous ones.

Disappointed

The relationship between the FMC and mmc progressed too quickly, to the point where the abuse she went through was nothing.

I was expecting the FMC to be not only a psycho because of the abuse but also closed off, making the MMC work twice as hard to gain her trust. The fact that it was her who started hitting on him, begging him, and wanting sex all the time, it just didn’t fit her background story. Not to mention the amount of times the word “orgasm” was repeated and the way it was repeated was too cringy.

I had high hopes

The recommendation for this book was so high but I was left disappointed.

At some point the story didn’t flow smoothly, it felt like there were supposed to be a scene in between. The transition of growth felt random.

The focus was also out of place, like the condom talk. The focus felt like that part was going to play a big part of the story…. Nothing. There’s a difference when there’s too much focus on that vs a brief conversation about it in passing.

The focus wasn’t on the characters also. I didn’t get enjoy them together though the end.

The story feels all over the place, The spice feels out of place, and this whole story just doesn’t flow smoothly.

The performance was a no for me, the FMC was too breathy, even during normal interaction with other characters and the MMC was awkward at times.

I love the story! But…

I love the story but the narration wasn’t that good. It was confusing and cringy at times.
So, I will be reading part 2 instead.

What a performance

Both narrator were amazing! You can feel the raw emotions! Joe Arden went above and beyond!!! He took those raw emotions and brought them to life!! The story was amazing.

I made it this far!

I wasn’t feeling this series at first but Dina and Sean grew on me! Along with the rest! Can’t wait for the next dramatized book!

Boring and political

This felt too political. Maud is not an exciting character and arland is ok but again there was too much political talk. I finished it only so I don’t get lost when I read the next book.

Unique but not for me

Unique storyline and amazing voice acting. I love the small comedy moments between Diana and Sean, but despite all of that, this book is not my cup of tea. It doesn’t grab my attention like other books. I might still push on like I have done for other books and I ended up loving them so much, for now, I’ll skip it.
