Historia
Felix Allsey is a travel writer with a keen eye for the paranormal, and he's carved out a unique, if only slightly lucrative, niche for himself in nonfiction; he writes travelogues of the country's most haunted places, after haunting them himself. When he convinces the owner of the infamous Rotterdam Mansion to let him stay on the premises for two weeks, he believes he's finally found the location that will bring him a best seller. Then things start going wrong: screams from upstairs, figures in the thresholds, and more than what should be in any basement.

kind of sliw but the ending is good
Revisado: 02-21-24
i liked this. i enjoy a slow story and a good haunting but i feel like maybe there could have been more going on. i could use more details like history of the friends or just the main character and the haunting itself could have had more happening to keep us excited. i really liked the ending but i wish if would have been a little longer after we got the whole story maybe we could have had more explanation of how we got to that conclusion. overall i think its worth a listen but stick around because you wont know until you know

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

hard to stop listening to
Revisado: 02-11-24
this book is incredibly good. It starts a little alow like most books but it is so worth continuing. the more you listen the more queations you have about everyone and the answers you get in the end blew me away. im so tired of listening to the same story over and over again but this book broke that cycle as its very different and unexpected. i am super impressed with the story and the narrator did an awesome job bringing it to life. if youre on the fence about listening then just take the leap. you wont be disappointed!

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Great story!
Revisado: 12-18-22
When i see these types of stories theres always a thought that they're going to be predictable like every other fairy tale, but this one was suprisingly unique. it was well thought out, and (of course) well written. i enjoyed it and i burned through the book in no. time regardless of the length. from beginning to end it was a page turner. highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a bit of magical thinking

Historia
On a sunny August morning in 1935, 13-year-old Sophia Gray finds her friend Rosemary wandering in the woods. Rosemary’s yellow dress is tattered and her eyes are vacant and glassy. She beckons to Sophia, desperate to show her something. In an abandoned cabin, beneath a tattered blanket, Sophia discovers Rosemary’s body. It was not Rosemary who led her there, but Rosemary’s ghost. Twenty years later, Sophia finds herself trapped in the sprawling Northern Michigan Asylum for the Insane, in the hands of a malevolent doctor who preys on patients who exhibit paranormal abilities.

Amazing!
Revisado: 04-25-22
I absolutely loved this book. it was very well written and every detail thought out down to the surprising and extremely satisfying ending. I can't wait to read more of this series. there's no other book quite like this one. the author runs the lines of reality and imagination together seamlessly throughout the entire story. there's never a second of downtime and it keeps you searching for more from the start. This is truly a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who finds interest in the paranormal or in mysteries
