Update…it’s a damn cliffhanger
Revisado: 04-24-25
Where do I begin? First the male narrator sounds like an old man. Honestly, the female narrator version of the man sounds better than the male narrator. He definitely doesn’t come across like a 32-year-old male. I just cringed every time he would speak, hoping it would sound better, but it didn’t. Second, the FMC is SO weak. Ugh! She thinks she’s better and strong (in her head) than she actually is. Without giving away any of the story, she is fighting for a family company that is failing but she doesn’t have a proper seat or any say because she’s a female. And all the negative things that are happening to the company she thinks she could save it and make a difference or positive changes when she has zero backbone, no confidence and just so weak. She is in her own head most of the story so you get kind of confused on what she thinks of herself in her head verse what she does in person, which is nothing. She’s trying to stand up to a person who definitely had initial ill intent, but probably had her back the most. This is definitely a long and drawn out story. I only have about four hours left of this book, it was a stop and start multiple times for me cause it couldn’t hold my attention. The girl kept pissing me off. Trust me she’s a walking contradiction with the MC as well she keeps acting like she’s gonna be this all powerful female and then cowers It’s so frustrating. I’m still pushing through hoping that things will start connecting and changing there isn’t much time left to pull it all together considering this was a 12 hour story. Update….finally finished. And it’s a damn cliffhanger. And too long.

Alexis should've never set foot in my world. Men like me stain girls like her. We take their innocence and tear it to shreds. She thinks she's tough. She thinks she can handle me. But she doesn't know just how deep my darkness goes. It was for the best that I claimed her for a night and left her behind. Anything more than that would have been cruel. I thought I'd seen the last of Alexis Wright. So imagine my surprise two years later when the door to my office opens...and she walks in.

Agreed with the reviews….ugh FMC
Revisado: 01-15-25
It was very difficult to get on board with this story. The female main character makes me so mad. I just can’t understand how someone who is supposed to be smart, in Journalism, can be so stupid. They keep on playing on her nosy tendencies, but it is not even nosy for the right reasons . It literally drags on because of her stupidity.
you think it’s gonna get better but then she makes another dumb decision. And Gabriel I’m definitely on team Gabriel however he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed either. It is very clear and obvious where the information is coming from and who the mole is. And even if it takes him a while to figure it out he’s part of that world. He should be more suspicious of things. I don’t know. It seems like no one has common sense anymore. And the story just made you wanna shake your head constantly and go ugh not again.

Historia
After my ex crushed my dreams in the music industry, I’m done with getting my heart broken. Working as an assistant for an NHL player was supposed to be a breeze, but nothing about Jamie Streicher is easy. He’s an intimidatingly hot, grouchy jerk who can't stand me. The guy has a massive ego. Keeping things professional will be no problem, even when he demands I move in with him.

Week and naïve FMC
Revisado: 11-08-24
Throughout the entire book, she is very weak minded and naïve… it was fine in the beginning but now it’s just too much. I just find myself saying are you serious or are you kidding me a little too often in this book. I did feel that it dragged on a bit. There are a lot of moving parts, but in the end, we could’ve made her better character and in doing so, it would’ve shortened it a little bit. I have about 3 1/2 hours left and I am dragging to get to the end.

Historia
He calls me prey. I call him a bully. Sebastian Arturo isn’t just cruel, he’s downright terrifying. With piercing green eyes, a body made for doing very bad things, and a charming demeanor, it’s no wonder everyone thinks the world of him… everyone except me. When I wake up with pieces of my memory missing he’s the only one who can give me answers. But he doesn't give me answers—instead, he tells me to stop asking questions, or else. I heed his warning and do my best to avoid him, but since he’s my boss and I live in his house, that's kinda difficult.

Still don’t know how I feel about this book….
Revisado: 10-06-24
So I have about 2 hours left in this book and im annoyed. I don’t get what’s going on. There are a million moving parts and the FMC is a mess. I hate when lack of communication is the angst in the book. How do you not say….its not mine. (Trying not to spoil) this whole book is secrets and miscommunication. It becomes frustrating. And I’m still confused about other things so maybe it’s because I’m trying to figure other things out and new issues keep arising. I was looking forward to this book and didn’t realize it would be a cliffhanger so maybe everything will come together in the next book.

Historia
Briggs Wilson, the NHL's most notorious bad boy, isn't actually who everyone thinks he is. He's kind, compassionate, loyal. And plot twist? The best baby daddy ever. Yep, you read that right. One weekend. One mind-blowing weekend that ended with me having a baby with someone I barely knew. We had a plan. Co-parent, raise our daughter, and put her first. Always. Too bad I never considered actually falling for my charming baby daddy. Even better? He wanted our family, more than anything. The problem? I have a secret. One that could destroy everything.

Historia
As one of the world's most hated celebrities, I'm used to unwanted attention. But when I woke up one morning to find a mysterious man had broken into my house, I knew I needed security, fast. Enter "The Angels," my three ex-military bodyguards. Having three gorgeous men guarding me 24-7 sounds like a dream come true, but it turns out to be a nightmare. They're always here, watching me. Caring for me. Protecting me. They tell me to ignore them and go about my business, but I can't even think with them so close. The spark is too intense.

FMC very annoying…and too head strong for her own good
Revisado: 09-13-24
There somewhat has the movie “bodyguard” vibes. But even then the female main character was likable. She is extremely unlikable. Nothing that comes out of her mouth. The entire book is nice. Everything is a backwards compliment. Everything has a bitchy vibe to it of course because she’s the “biggest bitch in England” Yeah, no. You hire people for a reason because you’re so terrified you have panic and anxiety attacks but then you defy every single safety precaution they put in place. It is extremely frustrating to listen to her recognize that she has made a mistake because she didn’t listen and then continue to justify herself and get mad because people treat you because of your behaviors. Honestly, the only reason why I am continuing to listen to this book is because of the male characters are so nice and calming, and they have a good storyline. I don’t know how anyone would fall for such a person like her. She claims it’s her image for the camera and paparazzi, but it’s even that way behind closed doors. And the publicist and she never once questioned it. I have about three hours left and to be honest I don’t even care to listen to it.

Historia
As a single, unemployed, and unapologetic twenty-five-year-old mess, I came to the Hamptons this summer for one reason—to focus on myself and work out my quarter-life crisis. I didn't come here planning to sneak into a private party and meet a handsome stranger. I definitely didn't come here expecting that stranger to be Preston Rhodes—billionaire and superstar quarterback for the Manhattan Mambas. And that's not even the crazy part. He asked me to be his pretend girlfriend for a week while his family was in town.

Very good story except the unnecessary angst….
Revisado: 08-30-24
Some spoilers nothing crazy. It could be me… actually it definitely is. The reasoning for the angst in the end….to me, is pathetic. The reasoning for the break up I guess to a 25-year-old might be considered something but to go back home to a nothing area and post interesting content ie candy salad (enough to get an nomination). to me is not feasible and I don’t quite understand why the same exact thing couldn’t be done with the love of her life next to her. Which by the way was her only quest in life which was to be loved. Instead, she needed to leave every thing behind, including her friendships in order to find herself. Ughhhh. Sorry, but this is just annoying to me and I did love all the books in the series. I even loved this one up until the unnecessary angst or maybe they just should’ve chose something different for the separation.

He called me “Goody-Goody.” He called me “Nosy-Josie.” He called me other things while he pulled my pigtails. Now, his grandmother left us a surprise inheritance. The catch? We have to get married and live in her small NYC apartment. For a month. With just one bed. When I arrive, he’s not the cheeky jerk I hated. He’s piping hot. Tall.

Not a bad story but the FMC was childish
Revisado: 08-26-24
Overall, this is a good read for me. It just became frustrating because of the childish/stubborn wishy-washy behavior of the FMC. Even going back and thinking of this story again it becomes frustrating. I ended up fast forwarding 2/3’s toward the end because of her.

Historia
I've never been in love. I've never had an orgasm, but I've faked plenty. I want to experience love. Real, passionate love. I don't want to die. It's funny what blurts out of your mouth when the plane you're on is going down, and I didn't hold back with my seat mate when my plane decided to crash. My hysterical confessions didn't faze the muscular stranger that sat beside me. In fact, he promised if we survived, he'd give me my first orgasm.

Doormat FL
Revisado: 08-10-24
Oh my God, I’m 18 chapters in and I cannot stand the zero backbone of this woman…. She is a true definition of a doormat. I keep waiting for her to finally grow a pair. I don’t think there’s anything more I can say it is extremely frustrating and her father is a contradictory person. If you truly want the best for this team, you make really poor decisions and have really poor people working for you. And you don’t pay attention to what’s going on around.

Secrets for no good reason
Revisado: 07-14-24
She is super annoying this whole book with her “secrets”. Honestly the whole social media crap is ridiculous. And why does she feel like she is super high profile where nobody’s allowed to know who she is… and she’ll never be on social media…blah blah. I can see withholding the info about her brother, especially with dating a football player but all the other nonsense doesn’t make sense and it’s really annoying and confusing. Another thing is the reasoning for their break up in the end, that also doesn’t make sense because she was very forthcoming with her nickname and her real name. And a way to keep out of the social media spotlight.
She also has a crazy amount of people looking after her and babying her. It seems way over the top. I have the other two books in the series. I’m still trying to find out what the big deal is about her past that we need to keep dragging this along. And why “social media keeps takes from her”. It just seems like they are trying to make her out to be some major presents or like why she feels that she’s super important to know that people want to keep her off of social media because she’s like high profile. She’s not that important and why they are trying to make her seem like she more important is odd.
