Bland and Disappointing.
Revisado: 02-22-25
The story is going nowhere and nothing seems to have any meaning beyond describing how MC is constantly only trying to get stronger.
Honestly, the series isn't worth the time it takes to read.

Historia
It’s 1857, and anxious debutante Beth has just one season to snag a wealthy husband, or she and her mother will be out on the street. But playing the blushing ingenue makes Beth’s skin crawl and she’d rather be anywhere but here. Gwen, on the other hand, is on her fourth season and counting, with absolutely no intention of finding a husband, possibly ever. She figures she has plenty of security as the only daughter of a rakish earl, from whom she’s gotten all her flair, fun, and less-than-proper party games.

BUY IT.
Revisado: 10-30-24
The narrator, the story, the mid 1800 setting, the sometimes rollercoaster of emotions, the unfairness and bravery and hope of those with their broken hearts but trembling want.
The acceptance.
It's all so good, so so so incredibly good! Seriously!

Historia
This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

Short but enjoyable

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes!
Any additional comments?
This story is rather short at only around 37 minutes, but that means you can easily listen to it severeal times without investing too much time.
It's sweet, easygoing, drama-free and very cute!

Bland and boring
Revisado: 01-13-16
What disappointed you about Throne of Glass?
The characters
''plot''
writing
Has Throne of Glass turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, just the author.
Any additional comments?
The language is in-eloquent and generally bad, and in all seriousness I am close to offended
that Amazon is recommending this book to readers that liked the Graceling thrilogy. Why?
Becouse the characters are bland, repetitive and airheaded.
As a comparison, the Graceling series reads smoother, is deeper, and plans it's plot ahead.
This, however, reads like a badly written copy that wants to be something it's not.. and frankly can never be.
