The love!
Revisado: 12-18-23
Oh my goodness… the strength folks had that were in Europe during WW2! The unimaginable things they went through.
This is a beautiful love story set in such ugly times. If all men were like Joesph the world would be such a better place.
I highly recommend this book. It touched me to the core.

Historia
Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.

Good Book
Revisado: 11-20-23
This is a very good book. Very well written and narrated. But… this is an Audible book you need to pay attention to the whole way. It’s not one of those books you can listen to and do something else while listening.
In order not to lose yourself listen carefully to names. They are French so they are not names so familiar to us and are easily forgotten who is who.

Wonderfully Written
Revisado: 09-27-23
While a lot of subjects in this book are hard to hear this book was so good! I couldn’t put it down. You get so invested in the characters! The narrator was one of the best I listened to. He had different voices for each character and his accents were right on.
I read the first book in this series and now this one. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Great Book!
Revisado: 08-26-21
This was one of those books I could not stop listening. A few late nights when I should have been asleep I was up way too late for the need to know what happened next!
The narrator was I think the best I have ever heard! He had different voices for each character and even made the women characters sound like women.
Now I am going to have to look for other books he has narrated. Just excellent!!
