Historia
Dr. Chelli Lona Aphra, rogue archaeologist, is in trouble again. A pioneer in the field of criminal xenoarchaeology, Aphra recognizes no law, has no fear, and possesses no impulse control. To her, the true worth of the galactic relics she discovers isn’t found in a museum, but in an arsenal. This viewpoint has led to a lot of misunderstandings. After her latest plan goes horribly wrong, her roguish ways are on the verge of catching up to her, when suddenly Darth Vader, terror of the galaxy, swoops in with his lightsaber ignited and...saves her life?

Great Retelling…
Revisado: 07-20-24
Great story, great voice acting, lots of action, and lots of lesbian flashbacks. Too many that were barely relevant and seemed like a waste of storytelling time. Feels like every 30 minutes we remember her college lover, she’s on a mission for Vader, why do we need constant backstory on her romance? If this was a romance novel I wouldn’t care but geez the original story writer of the Aphra comics had a hard on for the lesbian plot line. I don’t care who she wants to be with but any story that flashes back to romance this often is distracting from the war and the mission and the violence and the dark side. It’s not even subtle, it’s like a commercial break from the Star Wars plot so we can shove more love story down everyone’s throats. Romance happens, I get it. But I should not be this annoyed over a little 6 hr story, that tells me that this story switches its focus to it too often. Aphra is at least 30? But she’s written like a lovesick puppy who can’t stop thinking about that one girl from college. Not very believable.
Otherwise great story.

When you lie on the resume and still get the job
Revisado: 08-10-21
Ugh where to start, normally I wait until I finish the book to give a review but if I could give the performance of Christopher a zero i would. I'm not one to bash and I love the Rick Riordan books not to mention I've been an audible member for some years and I have heard my fair share of good and bad performances. this one takes the cake I'm sad to say. the other reviewers are correct, this guy does not know how to do accents. one thing that bugs me is there is no emotion when he is reading. it sounds like he's an old man telling a bedtime story except for the fact that he sounds like he's 20. it's unbelievably distracting I will be surprised if I make it through this book and I see the next two books in the series also seem to have bad voice actors according to the reviews. it's a shame because this is my favorite series due to connected heritage. but seriously if you listened to the audio books back in the day where it was just older people reading the book to you not actually acting and putting emotion into scenes they're just reading the books, that's this guy. I could complain forever and I'm not even a quarter of the way through the book. also I don't understand why all the voice actors for the Rick Riordan books are the same for their entire series and they're all good except for this one this is the only one that is not only bad but has a different voice actor for each book, so upsetting. despite that for anyone who is still reading my review if you have not read this book before I highly recommend it, some people aren't the biggest fans but I loved it when it came out I loved it the second time I read it and despite the distracting voice actor I'm loving the story I'm just getting distracted by the lack of emotion the same voices for male and female characters and the atrocious attempts at accents. it's not like this book is 20 years old I don't understand who at audible hired this guy who okayed it did nobody listen to his recording before they put it on the app? I would love to know how that process works and whoever approved this guy needs a slap on the wrist. I've never done a audible reading before but I can guarantee you I can do a better job than this guy I'm sure most of us could. it's not hard to sound surprised when something happens or to sound joyful when the character is supposed to be making a joke and laughing in the book not just read in monotone. give me strength to finish this book please, I hope this second voice actor is slightly less bad at his job than this guy.

better than any Egyptian movie that's for sure. can't wait for this to come out on Netflix. I own all these in physical form and now I'm going to own them again digitally. highly recommend. unlike the Percy Jackson series this one had some serious tearjerker moments for me.

I highly recommend this book. I have no complaints other than I would wish to see this acted out. there were a few times I had to stop listening and compose myself. I would love to hear about the future of the characters in this book.

Revisado: 05-09-17
the narrator did a great job! I loved the book I can't wait to start the second one, I only wish this was an entire series so I could read book after book after book without having to wait for another release lol. I wish I knew more books out there that were in this same exploratory fashion, I want to explore the Galaxy some more and I want to laugh along the way just like I did with this book. I give this book a 10 out of 10 nothing was lacking in my personal opinion and so far I have tried to push it on everyone who is close to me LOL I mostly get people looking at me like I'm crazy but it's such a good book that after I finish the series I might go back and relisten to the series.
if I have to say one negative thing it is simply that the audio sample should be a different part of the book not Bob learning to speak. dosent do the book justice.
