Historia
The most important attribute high-performing organizations have in common is that they are well led. Every organization dreams of having enough leaders. Yet too many organizations take a haphazard or inconsistent approach to leadership development. The result is a dearth of leaders and a failure to leverage the full capacity of the enterprise.

Without the cooperation of your subconscious - the deep recesses of your inner self - change can be difficult to impossible. You might consciously have tried to lose weight. But if your subconscious mind was fixated on fattening food and how difficult exercise was, the experience was probably a challenge or a dismal failure. Therefore, changing one or more aspects of your life can’t occur until you affect change on your subconscious.

Revisado: 12-28-24
You Become What You Think is about the power of mindset and how our thoughts shape our reality. Vic Johnson combines personal anecdotes with lessons from thought leaders to illustrate the impact of positive thinking. Listening to this book was a reminder of the importance of guarding our thoughts and focusing on what we want to achieve. It prompted me to be more intentional with my mental habits and to visualize my goals more vividly. While the concepts aren't entirely new, the way Johnson presents them is uplifting and easy to relate to. It's WORTH it.

Joshua Medcalf books are outstanding! This one is near the top of my list for his books. Win in the Dark conveys that the true battles (and victories) happen away from the spotlight. Medcalf uses compelling stories to illustrate how character and habits developed in private influence public success. The message that consistent effort and integrity matter even when no one is watching resonated deeply with me. Medcalf's sincere narration adds depth to the content. For those seeking motivation to stay committed to their goals, it's well WORTH your time!

Who Not How introduced me to a transformative mindset shift. Instead of asking "How can I achieve this goal?" the authors suggest we should ask "Who can help me achieve this goal?" This simple change in perspective has had a profound impact on how I approach projects. By focusing on collaboration and leveraging others' expertise, I've been able to accomplish more with less stress. The authors share compelling stories and practical strategies that make implementing this concept straightforward. If you're someone who tends to take on everything yourself (like I was), this book will be a game-changer. It's well WORTH your time!

Has anyone not read/listened to this book yet? I first read it years ago as part of a professional development series when I became a new executive. I refreshed my memory on it and listened to it again this year. Always a good little story with a great motivational throughline.
For those who may not have read this yet... Who Moved My Cheese is a charming and insightful parable about dealing with change in our lives. The story is a metaphor for how we respond to unexpected shifts in our work and personal environments. It's a quick listen but packed with meaningful lessons that are easy to apply. If you are a new manager or haven't read this core management book, read it today! It's WORTH it!

I downloaded this book on a whim. It sat in my library for a while had a long drive and decided to listen to it. I wish I listened to it earlier. It was really good! Twelve Pillars is a motivational story told through a chance meeting between a disillusioned salesman and a wealthy gentleman. Each of the twelve pillars represents a principle for personal development and success, ranging from cultivating strong relationships to embracing lifelong learning. I appreciated how the narrative weaves these principles into the storyline, making them memorable and relatable. Listening to this book felt like receiving mentorship through storytelling. This heartfelt story is well WORTH your time! Don't let it sit in your library like I did. Listen to it!
