Great autobiography read by Eve. Loved hearing her journey. Great path while not easy seems what’s given her the push to make her great. Definitely worth the listen.

Historia
Touré Wallace and Niomi Spencer were close friends at Finley College, the prestigious HBCU they attended. The attraction that simmered between them every semester was a question they never got to ask or answer before soaring ambitions launched them to opposite corners of the world. Both chased their dreams of grit and glamor as high-profile journalists. They got it all...except a shot at being more than friends. Years later, Touré is an award-winning investigative journalist and Niomi is America's most popular morning-show host, but they both feel like something’s missing.

This was an absolute pleasure to listen to. Such an unexpected treat. It was entertaining and hilarious. The story line was right on point and definitely a sad disappointment that it ended. This will certainly be a recommended listen to many for me. If you are looking to be entertained this is your choice!

Historia
If it weren’t for Emma Johnson, Caryn Johnson would have never become Whoopi Goldberg. Emma gave her children the loving care and wisdom they needed to succeed in life, always encouraging them to be true to themselves. When Whoopi lost her mother in 2010—and then her older brother, Clyde, five years later—she felt deeply alone; the only people who truly knew her were gone. Emma raised her children not just to survive, but to thrive. In this intimate and heartfelt memoir, Whoopi shares many of the deeply personal stories of their lives together for the first time.

Revisado: 08-11-24
I was always a fan of Whoopi Goldberg but now even more so. I have so admired her ability to be her authentic self. Even when the world said “but you can’t” she said “ but oh yes I can and I will, thank you very much”! To hear her recollection of her family origin is further validation that she is a purposeful human being and this listen was so well worth every single min. Great book and tribute to her mother and brother.

It was a okay listen
Revisado: 03-20-23
The storyline was okay but a bit drawn out. Overall I liked it didn’t feel it was a waste of a credit. I enjoy Jakobi Diems voice so an add. But at times the narrator for Jordanna’s voice sounded very scripted.

Join actress and activist Erika Alexander in a neo-noir, true crime drama as she searches for Tamika Huston, a 24-year-old Black woman from Spartanburg, SC who went missing in 2004. Great listen!
Revisado: 11-03-22
I have always been a fan of Erica Alexander with her many roles portrayed on TV and movies. But to hear the passion that she poured into this podcast and telling Tamika’s story just cements my admiration. I was aware of this sad story as it was unfolding. To hear it told by her family and friends is moving. This is a fantastic listen and there should be no hesitation with selecting. Thank you for taking such care.
