Historia
Honey, I just want you to have everything you ever wanted. That’s what Jacy’s mom always told her. And Jacy felt like she finally did. Newly married and with a baby on the way, Jacy and her new husband, Jed, embark on their first road trip together to visit his father, Dr. Ash, in Michigan’s far-flung Upper Peninsula. The moment they arrive at the cottage snug within the lush woods, Jacy feels bathed in love by the warm and hospitable Dr. Ash, if less so by his house manager, the enigmatic Mrs. Brandt. But their Edenic first days take a turn when Jacy has a health scare.

Not Terrible- Hap Potential
Revisado: 06-21-23
This book had so much potential. Great storyline, good characters and the best narrator (BP is my favorite). But it just couldn’t get to the finish line. The ending was terrible.

And now she and Josh are so infatuated, they can’t stay away from one another. Abby Landon, Josh’s daughter, is home from college nursing a broken heart. Save Your Credit
Revisado: 04-28-23
This is classified a suspense, psychological, domestic thriller. There was so suspense until the last maybe 30 minutes of the book. The story strictly revolves around an affair. I definitely wish I hadn’t wasted my credit on this book.

Not the best, Not the worst
Revisado: 02-24-23
I didn’t love the storyline, it had a lot of promise, it just couldn’t connect with any of the characters and the plot was very anticlimactic.

We are surrounded by choices. If we want to watch a movie, we have multiple platforms we can choose from. If we grow tired of a friend or conversation, we leave them on read. It's never been easier to tune out and make a switch when something doesn't go perfectly or when we are offended. It's easy to cancel something from our lives when it comes to technology, television shows, or choices of food and drinks. But what about canceling friends or family members when we are disappointed or offended by them?

Could’ve been better
Revisado: 12-22-22
The storyline had promise, I think it could’ve been so much better with a narrator that didn’t pronounce common words so weird. Wasn’t hard to follow, just hard to keep my interest with the cringey narration.

The description is extremely misleading. Lyndsey Boxer doesn’t vow to protect anyone until their 21st birthday. Love the women’s murder club, but this book was disappointing.

Unsatisfying
Revisado: 07-29-21
I love all Ellen Hilderbrand books, this one however was a let down.
First, two of the main characters are also in 28 Summers, it was so confusing and hard to really enjoy them.
The main character Adrienne is awful. Immature, spoiled, self centered and unlikable.
The ending was very abrupt, I feel like the characters weren’t developed very well and there was no real closure.
3 out of 5 stars.

Awful Narration
Revisado: 05-12-20
I love Gregg Olsen books. This narrator made the characters seem slow. The way she enunciated and spoke so slow, drug out her words, I felt like she was reading to preschoolers. I hope the second book is not narrated by this woman, if so I’ll have to pass.
