Historia
There’s a lot I’ve never told my best friend. The fact that I love him. That I miss him every day he’s gone. That, sometimes, I ache for him with a ferocity that leaves me breathless. Lucky Buchanan tore into my life as a boy, wild and daring, my opposite in every way. He drew me in, stole my heart without trying. He hears me, even though I rarely speak a word. But I always knew this place wouldn’t be enough for my free-spirited friend. I knew he wasn’t mine to keep.

Revisado: 12-05-24
This book was so beautifully written. so poignant and heartfelt. a lot of plot building and storytelling. It had me laughing and crying, books like this don't come around often in the LGBTQ genre. definitely worth a listen. This book is a keeper.

Historia
In a desperate attempt to prevent the artificial intelligence known as Control from seizing crucial information that could destroy all sentient life, Commander Michael Burnham donned the “Red Angel” time-travel suit and guided the USS Discovery into the future and out of harm’s way. But something has gone terribly wrong, and Burnham has somehow arrived in a place far different from anything she could have imagined - more than 900 years out of her time.

Fantastic Listen
Revisado: 10-09-21
Story perfectly fleshed out the back story that was rushed or glanced over during the show. We were given a detailed front seat to what Michael was doing while hoping to find Discovery. The bond forged with Book and others as well as some interesting character twists. The narrator was excellent. She sounded just like 'Michael Burnham' and did a very convincing job with Book and characters with different accents. I am definitely glad a gave this a listen. 🖖🏽

Historia
The host of CNN Tonight with Don Lemon is more popular than ever. As America’s only Black prime-time anchor, Lemon and his daily monologues on racism and antiracism, on the failures of the Trump administration and of so many of our leaders, and on America’s systemic flaws speak for his millions of fans. Now, in an urgent, deeply personal, riveting plea, he shows us all how deep our problems lie, and what we can do to begin to fix them.

100 Percent Fire!
Revisado: 04-12-21
This title was narrated by Don Lemon himself. Hearing the author speak authentically in his own voice was very moving. This book is perfect for people of color searching for meaning while trying to navigate the pitfalls of caste and racism. This book is also very pertinent for White people. I would definitely share this with people who have not experienced racism directly and are trying to understand Black experiences. It's perfect for when you don't know what to say to your Caucasian friend to help them understand why we are so angry and so tired. I pushed the Stars so hard that it ought to have left 10 Stars. Thank you Don Lemon for a very educational, thoughtful, and well written book. As a Black woman with a Black son the messages in this book were so powerful that it has given me much to share and discuss with my son. I lived through the Civil Rights era and he is living through Black Lives Matter and the re-emergence of White Supremacy. The author starts this book with a message to his nephew, this book is a love letter. Don Lemon has given me a love letter for my son, my daughter, and anyone willing to listen to this with an open mind and heart.
