I have loved Matthew Redd since his introduction in Fields of Fire. In Out for Blood, we get to see the warrior and the man. I love that he is vulnerable but still a bad ass!!!
I also love that Emily is a force to be reckoned with!
Redd has enough to deal with after he realized that HSI is after him, but throw in an avalanche, a survivalist, and a wife and best friend who refuse to stand down and you have an exciting, fast paced thriller that you can’t put down.
I can’t wait to see what Redd is getting into next….

Best Ballard and Bosch Book

Love these two characters separately but they are genius together. Bosch with his rough edge but sincere sense of justice and Ballard with her no-nonsense approach to everything, team up on a new case- love the fact that Bosch seems a bit vulnerable yet still tough as nails. This is one of my favorite Connelly books. Please keep them coming!!

I don’t want to spoil anything. However, the line, “Welcome to my wheelhouse, Tony” is an excellent example of less is more. This book, although thrilling from the first page, was not filled with the continuous ass kicking we have grown to expect from Rapp. Instead we see a more thoughtful, while still psychologically cunning, Mitch. This book is one of my favorite books because we are allowed glimpses into the lives of not only Claudia and Rapp, but also of Scott, and Irene. I mean who knew Irene could have a personal life!!My only gripe is I have to wait another year to continue learning more about these incredible characters.
Kyle has done it again. Thank you for sharing Rapp and company with us!

Characters that make you love to hate

I love all of Jennifer Hillier’s books, but this one really got to me. Read it now!!!You will root for Paris and you will get angry at the characters that mistreat Paris- especially Ruby. These folks come alive in this book and each one carves out a place in the reader’s heart.
I am reading several books with a similar theme of “reinventing” oneself because of unfortunate events , however none of the other books are quite so gripping as this one!
Can’t wait for the next book from this awesome author.

Just when I think James Reece is out of danger, something else happens!
In The Blood is a fast paced, exhilarating ride from the first chapter and it doesn’t slow down… at all!
It is clear that Mr. Carr is a student of history because the level of detail in this book is crazy!
As always with Mr Carr’s books, In The Blood is not only entertaining and educational, but it leaves the reader wanting, no , begging for more…
And Isn’t that a definite indicator of a great book?
