Historia
Unforgettable protagonist BuckSchatz is back, and once again this 88-year-old retired Memphis cop refuses to go gently into that good night. Having sustained injuries in Don't Ever Get Old, Buck is living at a retirement home with his wife, and he's downright miserable being treated like the elderly person he is. But soon, Elijah, a man from his past, pays Buck a visit. Elijah offers Buck a tidy sum to do him a favor, and Buck is eager to close the book on a series of robberies that he could never solve. But things soon go downhill - way downhill.

Don’t Ever Look Back - so true
Revisado: 09-10-22
I am 77 years old and am loving the honesty of these books, not the plots but the way age is described and used in the stories. Buck is my hero. He uses his brain while lamenting the loss of brawn. Rose is one lucky woman and the author uses humor and great dialogue to build great stories. Well done!

Sweet story
Revisado: 11-29-21
The children provide unpredictability. The wounded soldier provides a love story and the Lady of the house proves to be a great manipulator on a positive way. A very sweet listen!

Magical prose
Revisado: 05-21-18
While the story is rather predictable, the weaving of words, emotions and the power of God’s Love makes this a story not to be missed. Just plain beautiful!

Good story
Revisado: 09-26-17
Did Susan Duerden do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
She does differentiate well. Was confused at one point. I much preferred the reader of the first novel.

Well done! A few surprises and great narration. I was missing Maizie Dobbs but I have found another heroine to share her space in my library. All in all, great entertainment.
