Historia
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Hot on the heels of Gardner Dozois's acclaimed anthology The Book of Swords comes this companion volume devoted to magic. How could it be otherwise? For every Frodo, there is a Gandalf... and a Saruman. For every Dorothy, a Glinda... and a Wicked Witch of the West. What would Harry Potter be without Albus Dumbledore... and Severus Snape? Figures of wisdom and power, possessing arcane, often forbidden knowledge, wizards and sorcerers are shaped - or misshaped - by the potent magic they seek to wield.

The Cabinet of Curiosities
Revisado: 03-19-23
Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child are an excellent writing team. Each on his own is amazing and together they are brilliant!
This novel is a good example: it hooks you in and carries you along like a storm swollen river. No matter which of their books you start with, you will most certainly be hooked for life. I know I was!

Preston and Child have outdone themselves!
Revisado: 01-20-23
This book is so good I don’t know where to begin.
All of my favorite characters from the Pendergast novels are here, each trying to do what they do best in this engrossing story.
The authors are at their best intertwining aspects of each subplot to keep you guessing!
I would recommend this book to everyone who has ever read a Preston and Child novel as well as fans of thrillers in general. I would like to give an example of other authors who write in this category, but there really is no comparison except for the greats; Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Michael Crichton, The Cabinet of Dr. Leng will hold your attention and keep you up all night… even after you finish.

A most intriguing mystery is taking place, and it’s up to Sarah to solve it. Wonderful characters abound as you fall in love with The Fog Ladies.
